   We had booked indoors but when we arrived we asked for outside. Not a problem. That probably sums up our experience…nothing was a problem. Brilliant front of house. Excellent service. Lovely food.

   Good, imaginative menu with options for many different palates. Food was beautifully presented, well cooked and tasty. The salt cod fritters in Caribbean sauce and the cod in bisque sauce were outstandingly good. Add a couple of pints of Palmers gold in a beautiful location on the coast and we were very happy 😊 To top it all off, there are great walks along the coastal path. What more do you want?

   What a great place. Extremely efficient staff who were very welcoming. Table service which is a good idea as the bar area is small. Clearly a very popular destination pub with great food. Seafood a definite must.

   The food and service were excellent. The only thing that detracted from the experience was the lack of car park space with an £8 charge from the car park opposite. Other than that it was good

   I could not recommend the Anchor Inn more highly, the food, location and service were excellent. It is on a beautiful, fine shingle beach, parking is easy though expensive for a short visit so spend the day as there is good walking on the cliff paths. All the food was beautifully cooked and presented. Faultless.

   We were 45 minutes late arriving due to an unexpected road closure. We phoned in advance and staff were very understanding, We sat outside - 2 of us for lunch. I had lamb (the best I’ve had in any restaurant) and my friend had loin of Cod which she said was perfect. Service was friendly and helpful. A perfect lunch - we never had desert but the couple on the next table said theirs was the best sticky toffee pudding they’d ever had- and it did look delicious. A lovely lunch followed by a walk on the beach.
