You'll find us nestled snugly right on Seatown Beach, hidden along one of the many coves that litter Dorset's famous Jurassic coastline. Once a smugglers haunt, the pub now serves a seasonal menu with a focus on seafood and fresh local produce.

Complete with wood fires and Palmers award winning ales, the pub is the perfect location to refuel after a day on the coastal path or for a special evening meal with friends or family.

Although a long way to travel for us, we love it. Everything ticks the box and don’t really want to say all this as personally we don’t want too many people to know about this! Thanks for another perfect evening

A lovely pub lunch experience for my 70th birthday. With two small children, one asleep the whole time, it was an excellent venue. Lovely food. And no rushing us! Polite and attentive staff. Thank you all so much.

Another delicious meal at The Anchor Inn. Warm atmosphere in a grey and cold day. We were well looked after, thank you.

Firstly, The Anchor Inn is one of my favourite places in the world. I've been returning here for the passed 30 years! This review may sound a little picky that's because it is. These are the only things I can think of that are hopefully constructive. Everything else was super. Just two things that I would like to mention. The music, whilst generally good, it was very repetitive. Same genre and I think the same playlist over the 4 days we visited and perhaps a little too loud. (God, I sound old). I love music and it's great for ambience as background music, but I wasn't there to listen to it, I was there to spend time catching up with friends. Also, the veggie options. The aubergine and hummus baguette. In my opinion, was very bland. It sounded delicious but I was very disappointed. The baguette could've been cooked a little more (very cold and doughy) and perhaps a bit of spice and texture added to the filling. The rest of the food we had over the 4 days was fantastic!

We really enjoyed our cosy winter dinner at the Anchor Inn. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. We appreciated the log burner and candles which added to the romantic atmosphere. Our little dog was made welcome too. Highly recommended.

Amazing location. Wonderful atmosphere. Staff were incredible and best ‘pub’ food I’ve ever had! Please don’t share so we can keep the secret 😊

Great atmosphere & ambience and good service. Had a small problem with the food but was sorted without any issue. Have eaten here many times and will continue to do so. A lovely & memorable night.
