   Wow!! Aperture is yet another example of why Cincinnati is truly a foodie city. Very impressed with every not-so-little-detail Chef Jordan Anthony Brown put into this restaurant. The space is modern, yet intimate; the lighting is a perfect balance of mood and softness; even with a completely full restaurant, it was never loud; sitting next to the windows on a cold, rainy night, we never felt any temperature difference; the service from everyone was equally excellent, professional, friendly and attentive. Now, for the food. First, watching the chefs in the open kitchen was entertainment in itself. I could have watched this intimate look into the passion and precision of the preparing, creating, and plating each individual dish all night. Every dish we ordered was uniquely different in its presentation and flavor: simple, yet fresh, curious and delicious with combinations I have not previously encountered. The Fennel sausage pasta was perfect in its sauce distribution, flavor and al dente texture. The Stripped Bass delivered a flaky, crisp fish in an emulsion of light chowder-like sauce-Unexpectedly amazing. The simple fire-heated pita with the eggplant hummus was no less impressive. Thank you Chef Jordan Anthony Brown, and the people that work along side you to remind us how decadent and fun eating can be when made with love and dedication.

   So much fun. Beautiful food, beautiful cultural variety of flavors. Sitting near the hearth oven was so much fun to watch. The manager was bubbly. The pacing of our dinner was perfect. The service was there whenever you needed but reasonably distant aswell. I CANT believe this was our 1st visit. Looking forward to the next

   First visit for two. Four courses and sat at counter facing out to window. Loved all the food, great service, great vibe. Can’t wait to go back and try the items we didn’t. Easy to park with big lot out back.

   This restaurant did not disappoint. The service staff was excellent. All members were attentive to the guests and served as a cohesive team. Our server, Sam, was welcoming and informative about the menu. Every dish we tried was well balanced in flavor and freshness. Cocktails were well prepared. The portions were perfect for sharing which allowed for us to experience more dishes. I look forward to returning and sampling more of the menu. This is a new fave!

    We ordered eight of the menu items, one was better than the next! Don’t miss the chicken liver mousse , trust me. Our favorites were the hamachi collar, duck breast and mufaldine. I’m still dreaming about how fabulous ALL of the dishes tasted. The perfect balance of unique flavors had us hooked. We also ordered all three desserts. Sadly, I would pass on all. But, that said, I will definitely return and could not recommend The Aperture more highly than an absolute 10 out of 10. Don’t forget to check out the crafted cocktails !
