The Aperture, the first full-scale restaurant project from Chef Jordan Anthony-Brown. The menu reflects the concept of Mediterranean mezze style dining, consisting of many small plates, rustic in nature and reflective of seasonality and creates a natural progression and flow for the dining experience. The Aperture’s menu reflects three fundamental tenets: intention, balance, and focus. The menu - and its individual dishes - are approached with the objective of putting critical thought into every component, eliminating the extraneous, and ensuring a natural flow across the menu. The culinary program is heavily influenced by the cuisine of the broader Mediterranean region and the simple, seasonal cooking of Southern France, Italy, Greece, and the Levant.

    This was the best meal and dining experience we’ve experienced in quite some time and we just returned from Florida. Amy our server was so helpful with dish recommendations and when to serve. We shared 5 dishes and each one was superb. Scallops, black garlic and eggplant hummus, black Maitake mushroom dish, Raviolo pasta and Striped Bass were are delicious with beautiful presentation. The Bass was better than any seafood in FL.

    The taste and presentation of every dish was absolutely outstanding. The menu is divided into sections with small, sharable plates and larger entree dishes. Two of us ordered the combination of three hummus bowls, a small duck plate and a small pasta dish plus the lamb entree and the fish entree. We each had a dessert, too. Everything was delicious and some had exotic combinations of flavors. Portions were good sizes, too.

    The service was outstanding. I appreciate the openness of the kitche. The food was good but it was not special. I think they put more effort on complex dishes and less effort on flavor. It is also very pricey for small plates.

    We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing dining experience - From the restaurant’s vibe to our excellent server Danny to the fantastic menu and meal it was incredible - We loved it so much we made another reservation right from our table that night - No need to think twice about The Aperture just do it…you won’t regret it

    We sat at the counter. It took a too long to get our first drink, however, the service in terms of info and professionalism was very good. The food itself was very well done and very creative. The only problem we had was with the lack of proper description in terms of the spice level for one dish, the charred carrots. The Raviolo, which was a dish with an egg inside of homemade pasta was exceptional. Overall, a very impressive dining experience.

    The food was amazing but our service was really frustrating. Our main server was very nice but the staff kept taking plates of food and drinks that were not finished including very expensive caviar and they forced us to order everything at once after the first course and we felt rushed to order. We wanted to share several plates and then order more if we were still hungry. We got forced into ordering a steak and by the time it came, we were not very hungry and when the bill came the steak was $125. The whole bill was almost $600 and for that amount of money, I feel service should be better. Ending on a good note, everything we ate was exceptional.

    Aperture is an outstanding restaurant with great food and service. Be prepared to be amazed and stretch your culinary taste as Chef Jordan delivers a myriad of delicious menu items. My wife and I selected 8 items starting with the scallops and ending with the sticky toffee pudding. We were stuffed and even had enough food to take some home. Their cocktails are creative, and they have nice wine list as well. We will definitely be back to try some other menu items and partake of our favorite items from this visit. Great job Aperture!
