   Busy December Saturday and a few times the staff seemed to be creaking under the strain but they remained charming even when a little slow and we were in no hurry. Also the Apollo Arms is quite big space so when it fills it does get loud, again a function of it being almost Christmas. Tricky to have a conversation at times but fair enough and definitely better to have too much atmosphere than too little. The food was beyond doubt excellent. Very similar in style and quality to its sister pubs, which in our view is very good indeed. Venison pie in particular was a delicious stand out.

   The pub is great, but the dining area desperately (desperately) needs some acoustic dampening. You can’t hear the other people at your table speak when there’s any more than 10 other people in the pub. Which is always. This is a bit of a social killer.

   Christmas Sunday Roast was mediocre at best, with the turkey tough & fatty. To cost £100 (no alcohol) for two people with soup starters + cauliflower cheese felt like a lot … at least the atmosphere was good, but wish we’d gone with the Fish & Chips (which looked great!)

   What an amazing place to dine! Absolutely everything was OUT THE GATE 🤩🙌 loved the food, we were there for a roast and gosh did The Apollo Arms provide. The most delectable roast veggies, succulent and yummy, meat was so tender and honestly just melts in your mouth (I LOVED the chicken). The staff were amazing, so genuinely caring, tentative and just gave off an awesome fun energy. A big biggg thank you to Freddie who looked after us so well (my son has whispered to me he wants to be just like him when he grows up - so thank you for being a role model as well)!! The decor and interiors were divine, anyway really blabbing now but I just couldn’t suggest this place enough. Thank You Apollo Arms - one of my best meals yet in London

   The food was very nice but the restaurant had a large private event on the same night, which meant that we had to wait for a long time to even get the menus. It took over 2 hours for the food to arrive, some dishes were incorrect. In the end even the bill was inaccurate and we had to ask for a partial refund. It was disappointing that they didn’t offer to remove their service charge that was almost £40.

   The pork was delicious, but they had run out of beef and chicken. The potatoes were cold and tasted like they had been sitting there all day.

   A VERY noisy pub that also sells reasonable food. Don’t go there if you want to have a conversation with your other diners.

    Busy, felt like a factory with the (pleasant) staff constantly moving you through your lunch and then letting you know they need the table (….and you must go). Won’t go back. The food was average but the experience was rushed.
