The food was lovely, but the service was slow and lack of judgement from some of the staff. We would have liked dessert but noone come over to take our plates away to offer dessert. Also I'd asked for water but none was provided and noone come back to the table to check on with us after the food was provided. I would like to go back still to the Banville as the food was beautiful however the service was disappointing.

First connection is with staff. They are Friendly, approachable and efficient. Made sure we had everything we needed. Food was good overall although bit of extra care needed not to overcook burger meat (edges burnt & dried out) and attention to consistency through similar dishes required (3 portions crispy onions) 2 close to cremation & 1 portion perfect. Couple small issues I’d like to bring to attention. Dining tables need cleaned thoroughly as they were sticky on top and edges (could be the cleaning product) plus laminate menus require a good wipe. On a positive note, our group of people didn’t go home hungry and overall enjoyed the visit.

Food was excellent and very good portion sizes. Everyone in the party had a great experience and we will definitely be back again in future.

I have not been to the Banville for many years and so wanted to go having seen Irish Paddy on Facebook! As it was Friday we opted for the steak night menu choice. We were not disappointed. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back very soon.
