   We’re regulars at the Beetle and Wedge and it’s all normally really good. For some reason our last visit was not up to the usual standard - service was slow and no bread for the table as there usually is. Won’t put us off going again but not the best evening we’ve had there.

   Outstanding quality of food and the customer service is consistently excellent… the Jerusalem artichoke soup was an absolute winner

   We really enjoyed the lunch - it was my partner's birthday. The staff gave her a birthday card signed by all the staff. The starters were great - lovely mussels and chicken wings. Mains were great haddock and chips - and yet another mussel dish! And a great chocolate tart and sorbet dessert. A great plus point is the location on the bank of the river in the countryside. All in all a lovely experience - we were even moved to a window table as we had a birthday!

   We had a brilliant evening, celebrating my partner's 50th birthday. There were five of us in total, including our 11yr old son and 8yr old twin daughters. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating or more attentive and were there frequently checking in to see if we were okay. In fact, I would say the service was exceptional. The setting was stunning. In an outside, heated pod overlooking the river...perfect! The food was delicious and although slightly more expensive than we would usually pay, it did not seem extortionate and the plates of food were well presented and enjoyed by everyone.
