   I am regretful to leave a negative review but will be honest. Our first visit last night. We waited downstairs for some time without being acknowledged and finally asked whether we go upstairs or wait etc. bar staff told us to go up where we waited for a long time at our table to be served drinks. There was no cocktail menu on our table and we had to look for one from another table ourselves. We all tried to get the attention of a server to order first drinks but this took around 20 minutes! The drinks were quite good once arrived as was the food. Unfortunately the 1 dish we all really wanted to order was not available (not mentioned to us until we came to order). Not offered additional drinks, had to ask. Not told until almost 10 that you close at 10?! Why?! This would have prevented us from booking had we known. All in all, a distinct lack of any front of house or management overseeing things, no welcome whatsoever, lack of any personality or warmth and sadly a very early rushed finish, leaving some of my wine as the lights were being dimmed/turned off! Your restaurant could have sold us so many more cocktails/drinks/desserts and made much more money from us with some effort. The basics are not there and sadly we wouldn’t return or recommend.

   Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the food, the venue looks great with the modernisations made since the Boardwalk however the food was nowhere near as good. It was also cold, meatballs need some work too - whole table agreed. We also had our tapas prior to the nibbles which we had asked for the other way round. Staff could also do with some training on service etiquette and not stacking plates on the table whilst allowing the customer to stand behind their empty chair. Overpriced for quality too sadly..

   The service whilst good when we had it was slow and lacking. The food was slow to come and no potatoes, veg came with it. We were told it would come but had to chase again. By which time we’d eaten the rest of the meal or it would be cold. We were given our main courses free which we appreciated. But nobody seemed on it as far as service, checking we were ok, needed anything etc, we always had to ask.

   Firstly the staff are amazing and tried their very best they are definitely 5 stars! The night was a disappointment with very poor tribute act and food was disappointing. However the manager Amy rang me personally and the level of customer service and hospitality was exceptional. So will definitely try again in the new year.

   New tapas menu is great. Lovely lunch. Jenna new the menu and gave great advice on dishes and drinks. Would definitely visit again.

    Our first visit since the refurbishment and rebranding to Compamigos and they have done a great job. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
