   If you like meat, beef, pork, lamb, burgers, you will be happy. If you’re looking for fish, chicken and a variety of vegetarian choices, you could be stuck on a Sunday. Disappointed with the menu choices. Previous visits have included a fab fish pie, cod with lentil and more, today it was lacking. The veg was nice, apart from the pickled beetroot (unsure) which seemed misplaced on a roast dinner. Lovely team, warm welcome and quick service, just the food choice let today down.

   Lovely setting in Ripley attentive staff and good food. Very much worth a stop off for a light lunch or meal.

   Excellent ! Bar and table staff were all very helpful, friendly and polite. Evening menu offered a good choice without overwhelming ! Food was simply delicious and portion size just right. Well worth the slightly higher price for the excellent quality. Highly recommend.

   Food was 1st class, amazing flavours. Served in good time and all staff, especially our waitress were attentive and interested in the customers. The two course for £20 was exceptional value for money for such quality food. Heartily recommend dinner ( or lunch) here.

   Nice setting, decent food and attentive staff. Would have probably had a better experience if seated in the bar as the room we were in was a little soulless.

    A group of 5 of us had lunch here on a Saturday for a special family occasion. We ate in the bar area. We all had different mains and they were all beautiful. The beef and ale pie was rich with light and crisp pastry. One of our party said the burger was the best they’d ever had. We all had desserts too which were fabulous with special touches eg sherbet and crystallised ginger on the parfait. The staff were pleasant and the service excellent. A little more pricey than other pub food but definitely worth it.
