   We booked a business dinner there last night as we'd had a good experience last year at this time at the Boathouse. Last night was not a good night for them. First and foremost, timing was OFF the entire evening. While our server was nice, she was not nearly as visible or available as she should have been. I completely understand it's hard to find plentiful staff right now in the service industry, so those that are working are generally stretched very thin. However, customer experience is still a thing that businesses should be focused on. Last night did not hit on a good customer experience at all. Appetizers came out before drinks (as in *any* drinks) came out; drinks were empty for an extended period of time before she returned to get more drink orders; appetizers were long gone before dinner orders were even taken, my meal came out completely wrong and had to be remade - the table was ready for dessert before my meal was even on the table and was STILL incorrect. An apologetic young woman (I believe may have been the GM based on the card?) dropped off a card for a free dessert as an "apology" for the issue but it felt like a lackluster gesture. Granted, I'm not sure she had full visibility into just how poor the service had been up to that point, so she may have felt like a free dessert was a justified gesture. May have landed better if they had just comped one of the desserts we ended up ordering because the table had finished their meals and I was still trying to eat mine b/c it came out so much later than everyone else's. Since my husband and I (who were hosting/paying for the dinner) aren't local to this area, the free dessert for a future visit was of absolutely no value to us. Further, after the experience last night, we really don't intend to visit again, unfortunately.

   Dining experience at city point is always enjoyable. The only thing that needs to be address is the ladies rooms temperature was exceptionally cold according to the ladies in my group. Thanks.

   This was our first time visiting the boathouse and the food, service and ambiance was wonderful! Will definitely be going back again!

   This was our 2nd year going to The Boathouse at City Point and like the 1st time, it was perfect!! Every dish I tried was delicious! The turkey really stood out!! Best I’ve ever had!! Loved the cranberry sauce too!! The shrimp and grits as a real standout as well!! Looking forward to next year!!

   Even with a reservation customers had a long wait. Not many buffet options for foods, and some were not like any traditional thanksgiving staple. The inside tent area didn’t stay consistently warm. Wait staff was very pleasant though and management also. Last years experience was much better, I think it was way overbooked this year

    Not sure what was better the food or the service. Wonderful time. We requested a windows seat and were placed to the far left of the room. There was a large ‘party’ going on at the far right so we appreciated being seated far away. The group was respectful of the noise level though. The menu choices from starters to dessert was so varied and interesting and the oysters were to die for.
