   A lovely place for that something special meal. The food is always exceptional, you are warmly welcomed on arrival and the service is perfect. There is a good choice on the menu, with different selections and recommendations to suit all. We have been to eat here many times and never fails to please. The music nights are great here, with or without a meal. Definitely recommend.

   Asked for crispy bacon - it wasn’t. Was told we could have extra bacon instead of mushrooms - we didn’t. When we stated the above at the time we weee told ‘well let him know’ We had to chase juices. Not a great experience usually quite good but Sunday breakfast was very poor!

   We had the kings tapas. The food was outstanding and there was a very generous number of dishes. The tuna skewers were incredible. The staff were brilliant. Fast, attentive and friendly. One of our party left their phone behind on the table and the waiter ran down the road after us to return it and stop our taxi. Definitely service over and above!

   The italian food is excellent and really good value. Good choice of dishes, it the second time we have dined here. We had a great round table for the 6 of us. We were close to the bar and the noise level was higher than we would have liked. We were on the 1st floor. Last time we ate downstairs and we preffered that location. Quieter and more intimate. On other occasions we have enjoyed the live music and the blues festival especially the Black and Blues Band. Great venue for food and music.

   We had a selection of 6 tapas dishes and thoroughly enjoyed each one! The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. The only downside was as the night went on, it got busier (which is great for the restaurant) however the staff didn't seem to be able to cope with this 100% and one of our dishes was not bought out. After asking a server who went off to the kitchen, 20 minutes later it still hadn't arrived. One of the main servers came and asked if we were finished to clear the table and again I advised we were missing a dish but to just take it off the bill. She apologised and said she would do that for us. When she bought the bill over it still had the missing dish on. As I said, they were very busy by this point (live band were setting up) but it did make the end of the night less customer focused so it impacted how we felt about the evening. I personally would get an earlier table and avoid music nights in the future but overall a great experience, brilliant food and a lovely setting. We will 100% return.

   The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our meal was delicious. We would definitely recommend. The evening we went there was a band from 9pm so if you want a quiet meal with friend and don’t want loud noise don't go then. We loved it.

   Another fabulous time at the Boathouse. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and nothing was too much trouble. Food was fantastic. Everything was perfect. Weather added to it. It was like being away on holiday. Thank you

    Excellent food and different from the usual choices. Great location by the river, gives it character. Only problem is parking, unless you can get on the street after 6pm, it's a walk to the nearest Car Park. But well worth it. We plan to go again :)
