   The entire staff made my 60th birthday extra special! The location was lovely, our table overlooked the waterfall, there was a wood fire burning in the next room. Lovely ambience. Each staff member was so genuinely kind..they even brought me a personalized birthday card, signed by all the staff. We each enjoyed our menu selections and bday dessert was on the house! Already making plans to go back.

   We have visited the Brushmill many times and love the bar area in the winter. Thankfully the recent owners restored the huge fireplace back to wood burning so it’s a very cozy spot in the winter, one of our winter favorites. Not sure what was happening last night as I will say it was unusually poor service. We sat at 6:10 and only after I went to the hostess to comment that it had been 30 minutes and no wait staff had come over yet did they realize there was an issue. It took another 5 mins before he stopped by. After getting our drink order and saying bread would be right out it took another 15 mins for bread to arrive. A total of 50 mins sitting before we received bread. The manager did stop by 2x to apologize and they comped our wine which was unexpected and a nice gesture. The food was excellent as always, we will try again!

   A few months ago, we had a wonderful experience at Brushmill. They not only accommodated my husband’s challenging medical diet, they made something delicious for him. This time, we called in advance to let them know of his restrictions and they cheerfully said they’d accommodate him. When we were seated, it seemed like we had asked for the impossible. Our server went back and forth to the kitchen several times. We finally got word that they could make something for him 45 minutes after our server first approached. The meal ended up being tasty and good, but it was our anniversary and we spent an hour wondering if we’d be able to eat at all. All’s well that ends well, but this was a very different experience than our first visit.

   Definitely better service than the first time we ate there. Cocktails and apps were perfect. For the price point I would like to see a little more attention from wait staff.

   Hadn’t been there in 20 years understand it has new owners and chef and the place is really cool , bars upstairs and downstairs fires and nfl playoffs going on made for a wonderful vibe… Wife had the Caesar salad for an app and I had the chicken wings which were wonderful…. I looked at the menu before we arrived and decided on the Cod and they were out of the Cod by 6:30 at night so I was bummed and got the salmon. The salmon was wonderful, but the rest of the stuff with it not so my wife had the steak Fritz loved it . We had several glasses of Pinot, for dessert we had the pear cobbler and the carrot cake. The pear’s weren’t cooked enough. A cobbler should not be chunky and hard coming out of the oven , but the taste was wonderful the carrot cake Was delicious. Overall we will be back for the bars, burgers and the truffle fries great spot for that. .

   Great food, but unacceptable waits. I will say the GM was accommodating and comped us 2 cocktails, but this restaurant needs to reevaluate its service model. Entrees for a party of 3 should not arrive 90 minutes past rez time. Though this restaurant is 'farm to table', our entrees were steak, duck confit and a salad, none of which should necessitate a dramatic wait. The shoreline lacks in higher end meals, and this place can be that, but it isn't right now.

   Love this gem ! Service was awesome . The duck dish was unique and amazing. Kudos to the pastry chef as well. Love the history of the restaurant and rustic cozy atmosphere

    The restaurant is beautiful, both stylish and comfortable. The staff did a wonderful job, always attentive and friendly. It has a small menu compared with some other restaurants these days, but the food was truly wonderful! The only thing that gave me pause was the price of the food, but honestly with all things combined, it is worth it.
