Fantastic roast at The Duck! The beef and pork were delicious, and the roast potatoes were perfection. Attentive service that couldn’t do enough for us. This place has all the right ingredients to keep getting better. Highly recommend!

Great to have The Duck Inn alive & kicking again under new ownership. It’s been missed. Decided to visit for a Sunday Roast, usually a good test of a restaurant, and we were not disappointed. Positives: The Duck has been tastefully refurbished, good clean lines, tables not too crowded, attractive inside & out. The food was very good, particularly the starters and desserts, which were beautifully presented with delicate & some unusual flavours. The roast itself was very well-cooked and with an interesting mix of vegetables. And plenty of it! A reasonable selection of wines and other drinks, and not over-priced. Less than positives: The waiting staff are lacking in experience (The Duck has been open only for a couple of weeks or so). No greeting/smile on arrival; table had to be re-prepared as not correctly laid for the booked number of guests; service at table a little awkward; dessert ‘specials’ not offered to us but were to other tables; no ‘thank you’ for tip added to bill; and no goodbye/smile when leaving. Our table was in the window and it became uncomfortably warm & bright when the sun was shining (fortunately only intermittently); there are no blinds/curtains to avoid this. It’s quite noisy when the restaurant is full. Overall: The food is the star, as it should be. It’s certainly on a par, if not better than, that offered by the two higher end restaurants in Bridge. The ‘less than positives’ are relatively minor and will generally get sorted over time. Would we eat here again? Definitely. Next time we shall visit on a weekday and sample the à la carte menu. The Duck Inn deserves to succeed and the owners and staff should be proud of what they’ve achieved so far.

Heard from a friend that The Duck had re-opened so decided to give it a go as we had previously visited some years ago and loved the location. I have to say this time was even better, the food was literally amazing and the place was buzzing, which created a great atmosphere. Victoria was charming and it was a nice touch that the Chef came out to check we were enjoying our meal. Am planning to book again for Christmas with the entire family!!

Utterly charming return which has brightened it up and made it feel very much more modern still with a country theme. The food was exceptional and the staff so welcoming. Good wine and overall strong value at good solid pub prices - £8-12 for starters and £17-24 for a main. Can’t wait to rebook and so pleased The Duck is back on the scene.

We used to be fairly regular visitors to the Duck and this is the first time we have been since it’s reopening. I have to say that we weren’t disappointed! There was a good selection of food, which was very good and served by very polite and attentive staff. Good selection of wine and beer. All in all a very enjoyable evening. Will certainly be returning and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
