The French Goat is a quaint French bistro located in the historic district of beautiful Lewisburg, WV. Our menu is traditional French with touches of both classic and new cooking techniques. The decor is smart, relaxed, yet elegant. Our wine list favors French wines but we also have wines from California as well. Craft cocktails are a favorite here at TFG, and you can always find your traditional favorite or be adventurous and try one of the bartenders seasonal selections. The beautiful garden is a wonderful place to have dinner or a glass of wine and features a beautiful fountain to add atmosphere to your cocktails or dining.

Always a good time when we visit Lewisburg. Our server was accomplished, fun and attentive. The food was excellent. What more can I say!

The filet was one of the best filets I’ve ever had. The food was fantastic and the service was too. If we come back to Lewisburg, we will definitely be back!!

Service was great as well as the salad, appetizer and main dish. The dessert du jour was a small portion for the $9 price tag.

This was my first time dining at the French Goat for Sunday brunch and I was really impressed with the menu options. In addition to the printed menu, they had a couple of specials as well. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu! We got the Bénédictin Norvégien (smoked salmon on an English muffin topped with a poached egg and served with a side of potato hash), grouper omelette, and quiche. All 3 dishes were perfectly cooked and delicious. The ambience was intimate and pleasant with great service!

We were at the Greenbrier for a yearly conference. We were thrilled to find how accommodating the staff was for our party of 8...giving us a private room. The restaurant has interesting, yummy handcrafted cocktails and a variety of creative beautifully plated cuisine. We would definitely go again when in the area.
