   Overall positive experience. I do however find that often when I go to the trouble of making a reservation I get the small table directly (in this setting - 2 feet) from the bathroom door. The door literally opened onto the table. The shouldn’t be a table there to begin with but by making a reservation you get punished because another table doesn’t truly get set aside. You get the table all the walk ins did not want. I did ask for a switch and they were beyond gracious about it but it’s hard to start your experience asking for a table switch. I happened to be entertaining a guest from out of town and I had to speak up. It’s awkward.

   First time at Grey Dog - came for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Although it wasn’t that busy, you get the sense that it is a place that emphasizes attention to their diners. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. As for the food, the portions are fairly large and delicious. I had the salted carmel pancakes… I know I said ‘lunch’ but they sounded great on the menu and they did not disappoint! We also had the turkey sandwich which tasted like it was right from the bird! Along with the sweet potato fries, it was a great meal! This is definitely a ‘let’s go back’ place! Bravo!

   The food was mediocre. Not worth it for the price. While the vibe of the restaurant is cool, it is really tight and you will likely be sitting on top of the table next to you. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place, but it is fine if you need somewhere in the area to go.
