The Hind's Head is a traditional country village pub and restaurant serving freshly made food and quality local cask ales. We are a community owned and managed free house in a very picturesque Shropshire village. We have the more traditional areas of the pub with wood burning stoves, as well as a lovely restaurant and welcoming orangery for all our guests to enjoy food, drinks and good company. We offer two wine lists as well as a great selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders. The views from the front of the pub have a perfect picture post card view of St Chad's Church in the centre of the village. While we offer traditional pub classics like freshly made pies and fish and chips, we also regularly offer specials that our chefs create weekly and do a lovely Sunday roast dinner that is extremely popular.
On Wednesday evenings we do different foods and events, please call to confirm the theme to ensure it's what your looking for it could be Tapas, Italian, a quiz night.

Wonderful friendly village pub and restaurant. Food is lovely, especially their fish. A lovely welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are smiley and pleasant. My husband says their beer is good too! It's one of our favourite places to go.

We had a Loveley lunch with some old friends of ours today. We were looked after by Ailsa and she catered for our every need. The food was excellent as usual, and was complimented on by our friends.

We love the Sunday lunches here. They are always 5* The meat is beautiful and tender every time and they do a really nice colourful and interesting vegetable plate to accompany the roast. We love how they do a smaller portion too for those with a smaller appetite. We just keep going back now we’ve found it. Few places stay consistent but The Hinds Head does. It is cosy warm and friendly ! Thank you everyone there we love it!

We booked a table for four for Sunday lunch. We were promptly shown to our table with a warm welcome. Drinks order was taken and arrived quickly. Food order was taken with all the options given. Food was cooked to order so although a bit of a wait it was hot and fresh when it arrived. The food was well presented and tasted very good. The Stalker pie roast was particularly good. The rest of the table went for traditional roasts which looked good. Then ordered desert, was advised that the crumble was berry fruits, which I liked the sound of so ordered. When it arrived it turned out to be apple crumble with cinnamon, which I do not like. This issue was quickly rectified and had sticky toffee pudding instead which was lovely and everso light. Our first visit to the Hinds Head and will not be our last, most enjoyable lunch. Thanks

Great food i had the Duck which was delicious. Portions are not huge but was enough for me. My husband had the chicken supreme which again delicious but not enough vegetables. He order a bowl of chips to accompany. The Creme Brûlée was amazing.

Our first visit to the Hind's Head, but it won't be our last. Staff were polite and helpful. The food was outstanding, and very well priced. A really pleasant lunch out!
