   When we arrived the hostess was on the phone taking a to go order for literally 10 minutes. It was very rude. Then several people came in & she took care of them before us. It was very disorganized. We told the waiter after he finally came that we were going to a concert. He had a very large table (12 guest) next to us & we needed to get our order in before them. (That didn’t happen with him). Thankfully another waiter saw our frustration & he took our order. The food was delicious which helped the frustrating evening.

   Dear Eileen, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you felt the hostess was rude when you arrived. As you can imagine we cannot predict how long a guest is going to be on the phone with a togo order. You did already share your concerns with a manager last night, and he already addressed the issue with the door staff. That said, a 10 minute conversation is a one off and not standard operating procedure. After reviewing your reservation more thoroughly, it appears you were sat at 5:56, and finished at 7:19 ; I am so happy to see that the 12 top next to you did not hinder the timing of your evening.    The pork chop was recommended, but it was breaded and salty. Not the best. A table nearby with young adults was so noisy that we skipped coffee and dessert. Not sure it was worth the price overall.

   I have to admit I was VERY disappointed with The Italian Daughter. While the service was very good, the food was mediocre - at best - and the manager swooped down on our table and announced, "I have bad news. We ned the table." While we had been there for a couple of hours enjoying time with our friends, there was NOBODY at ANY of the tables in our area. His sharp directions made for a very poor ending to a very nice evening. The owners need to employee people who have "some"knowledge of the hospitality business and "some" basic level of skills.

   Dear Francis, while you have asked I do not respond to your review, as the owner I cannot adhere to your request. As guest service is my top priority I must first apologize for this experiece you had at The Italian Daughter, and let you know I am absolutely horrified after reading your review. I assure you that what occurred is not common practice. I will be addressing this immediately with the manager. We hold tables for a two hour window, as stated on open table, however, I always do what I can to allow current seated guests to continue to enjoy their evening if they go over the two hour mark, as you did last night, while also trying to relocate anothere reservation that is arriving for the same table. That said, the manager handled this in a way that does not reflect my standards.

    Great food as always. Dinner, appetizers, and wine for 4. Tommy, our server is excellent.
