The Italiano, the newest masterpiece by Chef Joey Maggiore and his team of culinary geniuses, located at 90th Street and Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale, the elevated Italian restaurant will be The Maggiore Group’s sixth concept introduced to the Valley’s award-winning dining scene.

The Italiano exudes an ambiance of casual elegance, blending warmth with sophistication, while offering authentic Italian dishes that transport you to the very heart of culinary tradition in Italy. The menu will feature the flavors of old-school red sauce Italian cuisine with a Chef Joey touch. Interactive tableside experiences will include an antipasto cart where guests can curate their own plate with over 30 different items. There will also be a must-try Limoncello cocktail cart and a Zabaione dessert cart.

The Italiano's lounge and bar will be open at 3pm, and reservations will begin at 5pm for main dining.

    Had lunch with my sister in law and was very impressed. I’m from the NYC area and Italian restaurants here in Scottsdale haven’t been what I’m used to……but this one is different. Food is exceptional , decor is beautiful and staff is attentive and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be going back again.

    It’s a very nice place. They sat us in the lounge for some reason which made it extra loud. Terrible acoustics and loud piano play. The service was actually very good. However the food was not good at all. The Ceasar was served with bib lettuce surrounded by a rock hard piece of bread that was supposed to be a crouton replacement I guess. I lettuce was bitter and the dressing tasted more like blue cheese than Ceasar. The pizza was warm with a ton of sauce but no flavor. The crust wasn’t cooked enough so it quickly became soggy. The one decent dish was the spare rib with polenta it had a lot of flavor. The profiteroles were a complete waste of money. I definitely wouldn’t go back.

    First time diner at The Italiano. David was our server, and he was great. The atmosphere, decor and food were all better than expected. We are in the waning days snowbird season, so it is easier to get into restaurants now and they aren't as jam packed with retirees looking for a happy hour deal. Bar was buzzing, tables were mostly full and the "alive" paintings on the dining room wall were a hoot! We'll definitely be going back soon.

    We loved being greeted by the gentleman that isn’t usually the maître d’ .. he just happened to notice our very early arrival and immediately made certain we were taken care of and pleased with our seats. Our server was excellent.. I think his name was ?”Miro”? .. ( he had a slight accent) .. He was very aware of our needs and able to anticipate everything necessary.

    The food was fabulous and authentic. The piano was a nice touch but too loud to carry on a conversation. They should offer back. Pillows as the booth and table are not for short people.

    Waited to be seated when there were many tables open. We asked to move to a booth when every booth was open but host had to go back up front to check availability. Server was pleasant but not much personality and without asking took our bread away after salad. We asked for more with dinner. Overall an okay visit but would not rush back. Manager visiting regulars but never stopped by our table even though it was my Birthday.

    Spectacular Easter dinner. Lamb loin agreadolce was amazing. Simply something no other restaurant would serve.
