   Beautifully decorated in true Ivy style, this one has a great layout, which makes it more personal for a couples date than some, which can be a bit cafe like. Felt food choice was a bit limited, but enjoyed the cottage pie- wouldn’t normally order that. Service was perfect- attentive but not over the top- really enjoyable evening!

   I was completely disappointed by the main course as a suggested house specialty. When you only taste tomato sauce in seafood, a lots of tomato sauce. Too expensive for a “tomato salsa” experience.

   Firstly it’s impossible to contact the restaurant. We tried to do to tell them we’d be a few minutes late but couldn’t. Having been called at 20:07 to check if we were coming (for a 20:00 reservation) it was very annoying to be left standing at the bar for 20 minutes for our table to be ready. To be fair they did recognise this and offered three mocktails to the younger members of the party to apologise which was appreciated. The food is good, but it’s expensive. The ambiance is lovely. The waiting staff were very nice.

   I have been here many times before and never post reviews but I feel this is important. Such a huge shame that front of house staff are extremely unwelcoming, stoney faced and totally ruin the start of the experience. I will definitely think hard about visiting again. It should be something management teach to them going forward so this can change.

   All was excellent however the party at the table behind were very noisy, which took away from the experience! Love the place!😊

    We had our table booked for 7.15 but got there 10 minutes early, and they were able to seat us early, which was great. The service was great, and our waiter was particularly so, unfortunately, I didn't get his name. The food was lovely and each course came out on time on a very busy valentines evening.
