   This has been the second time we enjoyed tea service in the Great room. It was superb from start to finish. The service is impeccable, the selection of mini sandwiches and desserts were not only delicious but beautifully presented. The maple pecan scone was the best I have ever had. I have had afternoon tea at top rated places around the world including in NYC and this compared to some of the best I have tried. Well- done all around. Highly recommend it for any celebration or even for a casual relaxing time with family and friends !

   An underwhelming date night. We ordered drinks while waiting for our table and they took almost 35 minutes to arrive. One we were sat, we were shocked at how loud it was- we had to yell across the table in order to talk. We ordered the bread board and a my husband unwound a long hair from the piece of bread he had in his mouth. He is bald, so it certainly wasn’t his. The butternut squash soup was a highlight. The crab cake was also good, but had a heavy smoky flavor to it. The prime rib was not on the menu as advertised, sadly. We did not stay for dessert- we honestly couldn’t wait to leave. Our server was pleasant but rarely checked in and paid any mind to us. We had high hopes but left very disappointed- it was a very expensive dinner that was not at all worth the price tag.

   Overall great place/ambiance/views and experience. The brunch steak/filet was hard even as I ordered medium but the burger was absolutely delicious. Chef created a flourless dessert for our birthday celebration. Nice touch.

   The grigstown chicken was extremely salty. The salmon on the other hand, lacked salt. The vegetables were divine. The bread for the appetizer was very good. The decor and the ambiance were outstanding. The cocktails were for advance drinkers, flavors were not easy to the palate, too smoky.

   My husband and I ate at Ladd's Tavern for brunch on January 18. It was lovely. Great food, great service and great ambiance.

   We dined there with friends this weekend and our first visit to the restaurant. It was a very disappointing experience. The food was not well seasoned and somewhat tasteless. The menu selection is limited and there are no specials offered. Our waitress kept pushing us to order so we thought the dining room was going to have continuous reservations but it was not filled. The service staff is not well trained particularly when sitting in the library or living room. No one comes out for a drink order. The bartenders were attentive and cocktails well prepared. Given the new launch at Pendry we were surprised that the hotel did not bring in a quality chef to open. We are not inclined to go back.

    What a fantastic new restaurant - the best I have seen in all of NJ. The Great Room was perfect for drinks with friends and delicious bites (crab cakes excellent, crudite truly elevated - fancy radishes, two types brocollini, excellent ranch dip), and the main dining room is beautifully appointed with lovely service and impressive food. Only quibble is that the wine menu is very pricey by the glass. Overall a tour de force where everyone from the front door porter to the young waitstaff is highly professional and also very friendly. Love this place!
