Whether you’re popping in for brunch, meeting friends for lunch or wining and dining someone special, the Littleton Arms is the perfect blend of contemporary chic and old English charm.
Our locally sourced food, innovative seasonal menus and friendly and attentive service have earned us our reputation as one of the best independent pubs in Staffordshire.
We are renowned for our selection of contemporary and traditional ales and craft beers, our hand-picked wines, and extensive selection of gin and cocktails.
If that seems too much to get through in a day then we recommend booking one of our cosy hotel rooms, which have been sympathetically refurbished to evoke the original Georgian coaching inn while providing all the comforts of a modern hotel.

Food was sub standard given the price. My friend asked for greens to go with her chicken supreme and was given a dish of cold, almost raw cabbage! Such a shame as the staff are always so nice, as in the venue and the ambience. They just never seem to deliver on the food front…or not for the last couple of years anyway. Used to be great under the old management.

Having dined many times before, on this occasion we were very disappointed with the food. In this occasion it certainly wasn’t valued for money. The staff were very understanding but I’m sorry we will not be rushing back anytime soon

The Littleton Arms was recommended to me by 2 people, and based upon those recommendations I booked Sunday lunch. After initially placing our order, 45 minutes later our main courses arrived…we hadn’t had our staters at this point. 15 minutes later the starters were served, the soup was luke warm and returned to the kitchen…yet another wait. I will point out that the pea & mint soup was very flavoursome. Sadly the main courses were also disappointing, the vegetables were barely warm, the roasted butternut squash wellington was unappealing (the puff pastry had also gone soft making it chewy) and the gravy had formed a skin. However, the beef and mixed meats were very nicely cooked. The cappuccino coffee was lacking on the coffee beans. All of these issues were brought to the attention of the serving staff, who were very apologetic, and I couldn’t fault the front of house staff. The problems quite clearly lay in the kitchen and the pass. Food served on cold plates and then sitting on the pass waiting to be served means luke warm food for the diners. We were not the only diners returning food because it was not hot. To be fair, the manager did adjust our final bill as a goodwill gesture, but would have preferred hot food. I do not accept the fact that the restaurant is busy as an excuse. Despite our experience on this occasion, we would try The Littleton Arms again to give it a second chance.

Lovely main course meal , feel extra gravy needed to be served with , however when we asked a gravy boat was brought straight away . Waitress we had was superb and very pleasant , not pushy which we liked . The dessert sounded amazing on the menu , we were disappointed , chocolate fudge cake …. Was not cake at all , 5 small blocks of fudge ! Not quite what I was expecting and Rhubarb dessert conflicting taste puds … with seeds on top . Stick with traditional rhubarb crumble … As I’m sure more people would enjoy it . Ambience was lovely , beautiful decorated for Christmas

After eating here a couple of weeks ago, and being pleasantly surprised by the food and the service, we brought some friends this time. Sadly the experience was nowhere as good as the previous meal. Average food, average service - won't be going back anytime soon.

This was a surprising joy, I expected a standard boring pub lunch but this was an interesting offering of tasty dishes that arrived in a timely manner with helpful and considerate service. Mid week lunch meeting up with old friends was peaceful and unhurried. Altogether a lovely lunch
