   The restaurant had a lovely buzz of happy customers, they were really busy last night but the service was relaxed which was lovely. The scallops and ribeye were amazing. I’ve eaten here three times now and it’s been spot on each time. The waiting staff and bar team are all really friendly, you get the feeling it’s a good place to work! Well done all

   We come to longstore everytime we go out with the girls and have the bottomless brunch - when we arrived the cocktail menu had changed from our usual preference and the surcharge had been increased. Two of us always have the sticky beef but when it came out this time it had changed into some Thai style dish with hardly any beef at all which was disappointing. There was mainly salad and pickle items and what appeared to be sticky rice but it tasted like it had come out of a packet microwave rice. The service wasn’t that great in terms of taking drink orders within our designated time of 1.5 hours considering the place was quiet. We stated on our booking we were coming for a Christmas girls outing and there was nothing there or any relevant music to cater for that either, seems though they always ask what the occasion is on booking. When we went to pay there appeared a discrepancy on one of the girls bill as everyone had pretty much paid the same approx £45, one was £54 and we couldn’t make out why, even the lady who worked there had to go and speak with her manager but we then worked it out that the sticky beef now incurs a whopping £7 surcharge from all the times we’d been before. How they can justify charging an extra £7 for already less beef, it’s beyond me and it wasn’t even that nice. Why change something that already worked and at less the price? And it didn’t incur a whopping £7 surcharge, it was not clear on the menu either, neither did the waitress point this out as we’d never have opted for it. This whole experience has really put us off going there again, which is a shame.

   We had the pre theatre meal and the choise of the first and second courses were not to our tastes. But it’s impossible to suit everyone I know! We’d stick to the regular menu when we come pre theatre on another occasion as we’ve never not enjoyed our meal at other times.

   Mussels were really bad. Sad to have to say as really enjoy the food at the longstore usually.
