A casual and charming pub with beer at its heart! Set in the beautiful village of Old Knebworth, North Hertfordshire, just on the edge of the historic Knebworth Estate, surrounded by wonderful walks and cycle routes.

Our new menu showcases the best of local seasonal produce, all freshly prepared on site. Micheal Kirby the new head chef, classically trained, offers a contemporary take on pub classic dishes.
Book ahead for Sunday lunch as it is always popular.

Came here for a Sunday lunch for the first time, to celebrate my husbands birthday. There were 6 of us. We had a lovely meal, in a lovely atmosphere and setting. Thank you. We'll be back.

Excellent Sunday roast, beautifully cooked. The pub and restaurant was very busy indeed on a sunny Sunday afternoon and the car park was full. Service was efficient and polite.

Absolutely Amazing food. We had 3 different roast dinners between us and each one was stunning. Looked amazing and tasted Absolutely beautiful. Staff were so helpful and so polite. Will definitely be coming back again.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch. Food was very good. Allergens were explained well and the vegetarian options were excellent. My husband appreciated the selection of beers. We will definitely go back.

Excellent Sunday lunch experience as always. All the staff very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. The food as usual was outstanding that is why we travel from Wheathampstead as of yet you have never failed, please repeat it every time we visit. Thank you to all!

Very disappointed with the limited menu, compared with when we have visited before. Seated in the corner draught from cold window, made the evening unpleasant.

My husband had the Venison Shepherd's Pie, while I had the Mussels. Both courses were absolutely delicious and the service was excellent, very attentive staff.
