   Host area seemed unorganized. They were not sure where to sit people. They sat our party upstairs. I thought it was odd they didn’t even ask if we were OK with using stairs. Beer wasn’t served very cold. When my food was served part of the dish was cold. Waitress was not very friendly. I had a higher expectation from this restaurant. I will likely not return.

   Good time and good food and drinks. Really enjoyed time with our table of 8 that Brandon served very nicely. Thanks. Tour was terrific too.

   I wish they wouldn’t have capitalized on Valentine’s Day. They should have served original menu. They were 75$ per person for a prefixed menu. It looked good on paper but was not good on the pallet. Drinks also were mediocre. My bf and I stopped here one Sunday afternoon for the happy hour..drinks and service were great. We booked it for Valentine’s Day as a double date a week in advance..so we had limited restaurants to chose from but wanted to be casual. The restaurant called the day before told me about the menu for Valentine’s Day and the 75$ per person. I sent it to the other couple we were with we all agreed it looked good. our waiter mentioned several times the restaurant closes at 9p when we had reservations for 7:30p. Mind you it was a 4 course menu and he would only let us order one course at a time. So it made it take longer and when my friend asked for a hot coffee drink he said we close at 9 so they probably have poured all the hot drinks out by now. We hadn’t even gotten our main course yet. Nice place to stop for lunch and happy hour.

   We made reservations for our first visit on Valentine’s Day. They had a special menu which we knew before going and it was $75 per person. We opted to also do their drink package where we got a different wine or whiskey with each course and it was $25 each. We should have just ordered the drinks we wanted as these were very small pours for the amount of money it cost. We would have paid less to get full drinks. My husband enjoyed his meal, but I can’t say I enjoyed mine. The lobster bisque was more watery and tasted like butter as opposed to a creamy bisque. The lobster in it was cooked very well. For my main course I ordered the lobster and it came on top of pasta with short ribs. It did not taste good together, so I just ate the lobster pieces and then tried the pasta, but it seemed very pasty and not very good. My husband ordered the steak with shrimp and he said it was good but he did not care for the sauce they used. All in it cost us about $270 for a very mediocre meal. The dessert was either a red velvet or chocolate cupcake and we thought we would have our choice but instead they brought one plate with one of each so we had to pick one. They did not give us dessert plates to put them on nor did we have silverware, so we had to eat them with our hands. The staff was very friendly, and checked on us often, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

   Had the valentines dinner, our waitress over charged us as we only had 4 people, but paid for 3 extra items. By the end it was $600.00 +. Thought the lobster was going to be more than 3 pieces of lobster. The food was not bad however for the total cost ($482.07) and a 25% tip we most likely will not be back soon. Great environment and beautiful building. They make fantastic bourbon!

   Not sure if there was a break down between Open table and The Mash House. We visited The Mash House the week before and staff said to use the app for our RSVP. Ordering items ahead of time listed in the app, it would be ready upon our arrival and it wasn’t. When server came, asked if we wanted appetizers and this was one of the items we pre-ordered. Opted for the S’mores, had a hard time keeping the fire going .. wasn’t the same having them toasted in the kitchen.

   The location is private, the building is large and inviting, and the food was wonderful. This was our first time here and I highly recommend coming here for a friend or family gathering.

    We had the salmon with mashed sweet potatoes and shrimp cassoulet. Both were incredibly unique dishes and perfectly prepared!
