Serving up New American Tavern Cuisine in our two-floor full-service restaurant and bar, equipped with two 50-seat bars, world-inspired snacks and entrees, brick pizza oven, private event space, and an open rooftop patio that offers views of downtown Worcester and City Square. Located next to the DCU Center and minutes from Polar Park, we’re a natural choice pre and post-game.

*Due to limited patio seating, we do not take reservations for our patio. Please note the patio request in your reservation, or ask upon arrival, and we will do our best to accommodate.

**The rooftop is open Wednesday-Friday 4 PM - close. Saturday & Sunday 12 PM - close.

***Public parking is available at The Mercantile Center Garage with direct access to the restaurant on Level 3A.

Staff was great! Food was good! Nice decor and atmosphere but extremely loud with extremely loud music...could not hear each other at our table.

I loved the relaxed feel of the restaurant. Service was well timed. Drinks were affordable . The selection of food was great. I would definitely come back

The Margherita pizza was the best pizza I’ve had! Service was friendly. Drinks were good. What a great first time experience we had last night!

went for lunch before a show. food and service were very good but not perfect so 4/5. ambiance was nice and not too noisy at lunch time despite nearly all visible tables and bar being full. kids meals are very reasonably priced. we enjoyed!

Highly recommended winter experience! We enjoyed a wonderful family birthday celebration (5 guests) inside one of the rooftop restaurant’s igloos. The hostess seated us promptly at our reservation time and the restaurant was festively decorated for the holidays. It was a cold January evening and we were very comfortable inside the igloo with the lap blankets and warming stove - even without our coats. Service was great (thank you, Xavier) and the timing was appropriate for our two hour time slot. Craft cocktails and appetizers were creative and tasty (Brussels sprouts, birria queso and boom-boom shrimp). Main dishes (Japanese fried chicken, chicken teriyaki, Cajun chicken rigatoni) were very good. A couple of us wanted the cast iron roasted chicken but it was sold out. We had pre-ordered the chocolate dessert fondue and it was a nice way to top off our leisurely dinner. This was our first time trying the Mercantile and we all had a fabulous time! Location, garage parking and atmosphere worked well for our group. We’ll be back again for another igloo in the winter and are looking forward to meeting there during warmer weather, too.

Went on a busy Fri night with a reservation. Seated right away and drink and apps came out quickly. Meal came within 5 minutes of ordering. Waitress forget to bring sliverware and it took 10 minutes to try to catch her without any luck before walking up to the reservation desk to get assistance. In fairness, she had a lot of tables to cover. Food was good (although a bit cold at this point) . Bill came quickly after we were finished. Take out order we placed was forgotten so we had to wait for it, but it also came with in five minutes. Take away from this experience - great place to go for good food if you want a quick meal. Very busy and noisy so definitely not a place to linger and chat.
