   We went on Cinco de Mayo and the atmosphere was extremely fun! The staff was hustling all evening, making sure guests were tended to timely. Our server Heidie was extremely friendly and efficient! She made our dining experience very enjoyable. Chef Joey was walking around and making sure all the guests were happy, that was a nice touch - as were the transformer performers. The only drawback was we wanted to taste the visiting chef's tacos, but they ran out. All in all, this is a great spot. We will be back.

   Went for Cinco de Mayo. Super busy and fun. Food was delish!!! Looking forward to returning. Shelby is awesome!!

   3 of us went to the Mexicano to celebrate our friends cinco de mayo birthday. What fun ! Music, food, drinks, what an awesome estblishent.

   Unfortunately, this Chef Joey Mexican restaurant was a flop. Food was overcooked & lacked flavor. My order was delivered wrong. Service was good. Waitress was attentive & nice. Atmosphere was good with Mexican dancers. The DJ was playing music so loud that I could not have conversation with my wife across the table. Others near us also were no happy with the loud music. My ears are still ringing several hours after we left. To me, it's all about the food, & I'm sorry to say it was a major disappointment. Lots of improvement needed Chef Joey!! I cannot recommend this restaurant.

   Very cool and hip place. Drinks were delicious. Food was probably a 7 out of 10. Our dinner experience was poor due to the volume of the music. We literally could not hear each other across the table. Maybe a better spot for lunch if you want to talk to the people you are dining with.

   We always go there and order the Queso Birria Tacos because they are delicious. Well, when we were there last night, we placed that order and unbeknownst to us - they were substituted out for a Cinco de Mayo menu. We still ate them and they were good, but I wish our server had mentioned it at place of order. We asked her when our food came out and it was at that time that she said the were replaced. So we were disappointed that we didn't get the tacos we ordered, but still had a good time.

   Food was not edible. Truly could not cut through steak in my taco. Asked for hot sauce took 15minutes. Been there twice before was good will try once more to see if they had a bad day.

   I have eaten at the Mexicano in the past. It was good as usual. I recommend to my friends when they come from out of town to go there and my friends that live here live in other parts of town to go to this restaurant as well. Staff is always top-notch and the food is really good.

   My husband and I were in Phoenix for work and asked the concierge for their favorite Mexican restaurant and they both said The Mexicano! Great service and so many options on the menu, the house margarita was outstanding. If we’re lucky enough to come back The Mexicano is where we will dine.
