Three tasting menus available on the night. £90, £140 or £190. We pushed the boat out and had the £190 menu. It was superb. There was not one course which was a disappointment. The food was described as it was served by attentive but not intrusive staff. The range of food was excellent. So due to price this is not a 'once a week' restaurant but I will definitely endeavour to go again when I find they've updated their menu and I can try another set of exquisite food. I must think of something I need to celebrate.......

Incredible! It wasn't to "stuffy" like some Michelin Star restaurants but at the same time you felt like you were being treated with an exceptional experience - fine dining and the perfect wine pairing

Superb food from start to finish , first time visiting , but will definitely not be the last , staff were friendly and attentive , we had the 5 course tasting menu with wine flight , every course was excellent as were the wines , especially the Bear Cub red wine that matched the venison , can highly recommend this restaurant , look forward to visiting again in the not too distant future .

A great meal. Had the 3 course menu which was perfect amount of food with paired wines. The starter of chalk stream trout with carrot and orange was superb with different textures although thought the orange wine didn’t stand up to the flavours despite matching the colour palette. Venison great and standout here was the black pudding. Bear Cub wine complimented superbly. Chocolate dessert very sweet until the port was drunk which bought it all together. Overall a fantastic evening with very attentive service with dishes so well conceived and explained.

A charming place with whimsical aspects. Every individual thing we ate was very good, if rather precious, but the overall balance of the menu was off. For example, the vegetarian menu featured spelt risotto and carrot ravioli—both wheat-based. Why not add a legume course instead? Or add some seeds? Why not some greens? And the menu included three sweets: melted chocolate with ice cream, a quince "Mille feuille," and a chocolate candy. A satisfying meal should be also be nutritionally various. We did appreciate the care with which the kitchen treated our friend with multiple food sensitivities. But I would not want to eat at the Olive Tree again.

The trout was the Shining Star of this dining show but pretty much most of the experience was flawless. Interesting wine list. Service was superb and the staff seemed to care about their roles. Bar man made the best martinis and actually knew what very dry really meant.

Absolutely exquisite dining experience, worth every penny and then some. The food is to-die-for as is the wine pairings, I will purchase some of the incredible wines that were part of the flight. Its a really quiet, relaxing and comfortable ambience and the service just beautiful and considerate. A true luxury experience.

The whole dining experience was fantastic with sublime dishes, perfectly matched with the wine pairings and every attention to detail. Multiple food allergies were catered for without altering the experience or standard of food prepared. With individually prepared menus my teens with allergies felt fully included and their experience of the food lived up to their expectations. I would highly recommend the Olive Tree.
