   Pretty poor experience sadly. To begin, I put on the reservation that the dinner was to celebrate an engagement and they did not even acknowledge this aspect of the reservation. Service was really slow and we had to wait close to 40 minutes to even put in our order. Couple mistakes on the entree, as well as having an item on the menu that they did not have any more and I found out after placing the order. The soda water went bad as I was drinking it as well on my second glass and tasted weird. Great ambiance, but seems like the service has gone down hill since it was purchased by another company. Would probably not come again. It is unfortunate to pay a higher dollar value for a poor experience.

   Excellent service, great food, lovely view from the deck. Good variety of southern food located in a picture perfect old southern town.

   Had a very enjoyable and good dinner. The atmosphere was excellent and conducive to enjoying a meal with family and friends.

   When we arrived told our table we reserved had been given to a walk in. After pressing hostess a table was found in the area we had reserved not the one next to bathroom she was trying to give us. One cocktail was done so bad it had to be redone. Ordered salad with triple tail fish which I order on a regular basis. Fish was not triple tail. Informed waiter. She adjusted bill. Server was nice and did her best. Not sure what is going on. Lots of new staff. Again. Hope they get their act together. Love this place!

   We had Thanksgiving lunch at the Owl. The food was delicious and plentiful! Our server was helpful and efficient. We will be back again!

   I love The Owl Cafe. However, Thanksgiving was terrible. The presentation of turkey and green bean casserole looked like leftovers. It was tasteless. Also two in our party got the prime rib and it did not taste like beef and one was tough. Neither liked it. They took it home but threw away. The only good things were the salad and dessert. I will come again but not for Thanksgiving.

   Thankful they were open on Thanksgiving and the staff was willing to work. We sat outside, water view. Waitress was helpful, and provided good service. We knew the menu was Thanksgiving themed as we booked the reservation ahead of time. Salad was fantastic, entrees were average, dessert was very good. Entrees portions were large. Bill for two adults and one child with tip was $240. This was not a $240 quality meal. Far from it.

   Atmosphere was very nice and staff extremely friendly. Food was average. Fries were lukewarm and kind of soggy but overall a generally good hearty meal. Shrimp and fish were very good and fresh.

    For at least 8 years we have made the Owl Cafe a definite when we visit Apalachicola. It has had its ups and downs but this last experience was one that if we did not know the restaurant, we would never go back. We made the reservation 3 weeks ago and requested a table in an area that we love and had always had before when requested. The area was not available and reminded the hostess of the request. She said that they seat people as they come in. So I said reservations aren’t honored? We ordered two glasses of wine with dinner. Dinner came waitress never checked back and we never got our wine. We paid and left. It is pretty clear that training is needed. It seems that there might be new management or something that caused the night to be terrible wrong.
