   We arrived on time for our reservation (8:00 pm). I even received the text confirmation that our table was ready. Nonetheless, we still had to wait 10 minutes to get sat. After finally being sat, our server was great and got our drinks. It took a bit of time to get our drinks but when he returned, he promptly told us that the kitchen was closing. It was around 8:33 pm. We were a little surprised but understood because it was Christmas. Still, why take reservations if the kitchen is closing? I noticed on open table that I was a no show. I went to speak to the manager who said they cancelled my reservation because I booked it twice - which was completely false - and then said it “disappeared” from the system. It was such a small thing to lie about. I just think he cancelled it and then didn’t want to be bothered. He was dismissive at best. I went back to my table then the manager returned saying he fixed it. By the end of dinner, open table sent me an email that I was a no show. Again, our server was great and the food was good, but it was the front house that just failed expectations and would think twice about returning.

   Good food, but certainly not the same experience since Tillman bought the palm used to be one of my favorites. Now it’s just another in a long line of corporate restaurant, unfortunately

   The service was great. The Lobster gnocchi was too spicy and the lobster portion was too small. The steak was undercooked.

   I went to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday and had a mixed experience, though there were plenty of highlights. Tony from the restaurant was incredibly helpful beforehand, ensuring my party of 20 could sit together without needing a private room (since everyone was paying their own way). On the day, I arrived 20 minutes early to set up, and parking was free since it was Sunday. Inside, a live pianist and singer created a beautiful atmosphere, which we loved—though she couldn’t accommodate our Prince song request. Our server, Damond, was attentive, starting us off with cocktails. Unfortunately, only 9 of the 14 expected guests showed up, but we ordered drinks and appetizers to make up for the smaller party. We had the brunch menu (my reservation was at 12:30 PM), and the appetizers were a decent size. I highly recommend the onion rings—they were massive, with only 4 or 5 per order but absolutely delicious! Everyone also loved the Wagyu burgers and donuts. The restaurant refrigerated my mom’s birthday cake until dessert, and when she asked for ice cream, Tony brought some just for her (I believe it was comped, which was such a sweet touch). Damon and Tony were very attentive to everyone’s needs. The main downside was the slow service—bread, appetizers, and entrees all took a long time to come out. My dish, the “Not So Basic Breakfast,” was underwhelming (pancakes weren’t great unless you like ricotta), though the potatoes were amazing. Despite the delays, the drinks (especially the mules), the atmosphere, and the extra care for my mom’s birthday made the experience memorable.

   Everything was outstanding including the service, the ambience, the attention to detail, and especially the food. Four different meals including appetizers, drinks, main dish, and dessert - all were excellent.
