Inspired by the building's iconic history as first head quarter of the British Police, each dish is a journey through its infamous tales, with rare ingredients and creative twists. The iconic Ink Pot Cake is a toast to all the great writers who passed through the building, like Lewis Carroll, Charles Dickens, and Arthur Conan Doyle, who drew inspiration from its stories for his Sherlock Holmes tales.

This winter, Great Scotland Yard Hotel unveils a spirited new Afternoon Tea Menu inspired by the building’s iconic history and infamous tales. Deeply embedded in the nostalgia of this former Police Headquarters, each dish takes guests on a journey of escapism through different chapters of the building’s careening history and greatest stories, beginning with Sir Robert Peel’s ‘bobbies’ to the modern day - and many in between. Brought my family for afternoon tea. The restaurant was pretty but we were the only ones there and the servers seemed very annoyed. Food was decent but very sparse for the price. Not worth it for tea.

Nice atmosphere pretty good food not bad value for the price service was average (waitresses chatting to each other while we tried to reach them)

I loved the savory sandwiches and scones but sweets were just so so. Tables are to close to each other makes it awkward if you wanna start a conversation with your partner during the afternoon tea.

Live music at Christmas tea in a narrow room with a mic and speaker. Impossible to have a conversation. He was talented. I felt sorry for him. Wayyyy too loud. We left miserable. Savories were unimaginative and meager. Overpriced. Chaos

Very expensive for what it is. Service charge is higher than a lot of other similar places. We had a large group. £65 per head not including water and service at 13.5 percent was quite expensive for 4 small sandwiches each (and no refills offered) would not choose to have tea here again.

Great location and ambiance. The tea sandwiches didn’t have much flavor and the sweet offerings were cumbersome and not very tasty. The servers were kind.

I was incredibly disappointed with the festive tea. The sandwiches and savouries were bland and boring, and the portions were tiny. The cakes were slightly better but the scones were inedible. They were dry and stale. And with a bill of over £200 for two people, a total rip off. Do not recommend at all.
