The Peppermill is a 2AA Rosette award wining restaurant situated in The Peppermill Hotel in the centre of Devizes. We have a range of fresh fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes on our menu which changes seasonally.

Our open kitchen is always a delight to many of our regular customers.

We also have a cocktail/wine bar offering an extensive range of drinks, including 100 different wines, 20 by the glass, a range of cocktails, 40 different Gins and draft beers.

The waiting staff and food itself were excellent. However it seems every time we visit they are short of kitchen staff. Once again we waited 90 minutes for our starter. Then, like buses, 4 tables were all served their starter together, including two who had arrived sometime after us. Disappointing.

The decor is very pleasing to the eye and everything is clean and orderly. A nice selection of wines and Sunday lunchtime menu offered a lot of choices. I ordered the vegetarian Sunday lunch and was asked if it was vegan or vegetarian, which is always pleasing. A lovely meal with attention needed when required, but also freedom to take as long as needed without the feeling of being watched or rushed.

We were last sitting for Sunday lunch so a bit quiet, despite virtually empty a little wait after the veggies & gravy delivered for our chicken and Yorkshire puds but all extremely delicious. Limited pudding choice left but waitress was able to offer an alternative

Fabulous food here and excellent service. Thank you Peppermill for making our belated family Christmas get together very special. Important to say I have allergies/ intolerances and this was catered for in the best way Ive ever experienced- the printed menu was hand altered by the chef so i knew exactly what I could/ couldn’t have - best idea ever.
