About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Good for special occasions
  • Good for groups
The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

Good food, great drink, service was awesome from check in to check out. End of parade day and it still was awesome, would highly recommend on a normal day.

There was no pirate because of the holiday nor did anyone give us a tour. My food was cold. Our waitress, Ali, was really friendly though.

Our dinner was excellent. I recommend the honey glazed chicken. The crab meat taste great too. (Like it definitely has real crab meat. They did not skimp.) Ask for Darren as your server. He was a blast! All staff was courteous! Will definitely go back again soon!

Service was fine and food was ok. Seafood was not fresh but it’s a good experience to eat in an old pirate house.

Was surprised at the amount of food that was delivered on the plate. The meat was flavorful. The she crab soup and Savannah crab dip were spot on. I’d have preferred the mixed vegetables and broccolini cooked longer. The server was very attentive and made some good recommendations based on her tastes instead of what was popular. I’d recommend giving the place a visit if in town.

We truly enjoyed the Pirate’s House. The fried green tomatoes were good along with the meals. I had the she crab soup and my husband had the flounder. Definitely recommend.
