   This pub has outstanding food. The atmosphere was buzzy but not noisy. We had bar snacks to start, followed by starters, the Rarebit was delicious, mains, my burger was amazing, and the dessert, dark chocolate ganache, was also fantastic. I would recommend this pub to anyone looking for good quality locally sourced food. Jake the general manager was friendly, attentive and knowledgable about everything on the menu, including the wine menu.

   Incredible meal and service. Great value. Honestly the best Sunday roast I have ever had, and I've Roasts at the coach, (1 michelin star), Dorchester, ect. Just fantastic! Must go check this place out!

   We had 2 very good meals at the Plough and would recommend it for any occasion. The staff are efficient and friendly without being in your face. The menu had something tasty for both of us and the wine list was good and interesting with some local English options. Would certainly go again

   From first greeting and through the evening, service was excellent - a real sense that we mattered and that the host knew their food and was thinking about us. We had our small dog with us who was provided with a blanket to lie on. We never felt rushed or expected to have anything other than what we wanted. The aged beef burgers were delicious and perfectly cooked, and the chips amazing - hot and crispy. Pudding was also delicious and it’s nice to be able to discuss home made food with the proprietor. Can’t praise this lovely old pub highly enough. Friendly, well decorated, warm and not too noisy. Perfect.

   Very tasty, interesting food in a lovely pub. We mixed and matched between fixed price 2-course menu (£22) and a la carte. It’s second time we’ve been and on both occasions the food has been superb, a real step up from your standard pub fare. Eg chicken & oyster mushroom pie, lambs liver skewers, pheasant tagine etc. Good veggie options too, including a deep-fried buttermilk style celeriac salad.

    Another outstanding meal at The Plough, we all had the Sunday roast today which was excellent, staff are extremely friendly and the service is spot on. We will be back soon.
