One of the most over looked restaurants in St. Louis. Great ambiance, great service, food is exceptional.

I was surprised by how beautifully the Chase was decorated for the holidays. Absoulutely amazing! It made our (me and hubby) traditional Christmas midday meal extra special. The food was pricey but good. We will return.

Four people in our party had the burger. Not a single persons burger was cooked properly. My son asked for med/well the burger truly looked raw. It was our Christmas family meal together. Pretty dissapointed.

Where do I begin? The main purpose of coming to the Preston this late in the holiday season is because the Chase./Sonesta decorates for the holidays up there with the Drake Hotel in Chicago, hotels in New York. It’s just beautiful and creates an ambience. The other purpose was to bring three girlfriends to a breakfast before the holiday madness, because we have a rich history of grandparents/relatives who lived in the CWE, growing up, so we remember when….. Alice was our server, and was so beautifully attentive, kind to take multiple photographs of us, gave us the space and the time we needed to see and visit with each other, which is very important not to feel rushed. We really liked the selection and choices for breakfast. We had Eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles, and bacon, and ate every single bite. One friend noticed that the hollandaise on the eggs Benedict was far superior to any other breakfast place that she eats at. We normally have dinner at the Preston, which is always good, so this was truly a treat. Well done👏🏻

Food was inedible. Soup was too salty to eat steak was tough and several people had to send drinks back. Service was friendly but seemed more like hotel staff than servers in fine dining. I brought a group and was embarrassed by my choice. .

Hotel restaurants invariably let themselves down. Not sure why! In our case, a mundane ambiance and room, and inexperienced server, who essentially doubled as bartender often, leaving service to be very sketchy. We were a party of 7. The four appetizers, two of which were soup, took approximately 45 minutes to arrive. The soup was inedible as it resembled a bowl of vinegar. For the main courses, everything that had any type of sauce (NY Strip, lamb rack) were so salty that they were hard to finish. Very poor choice for food in a culinary vibrant city. My bill was almost $500 and not a single party member enjoyed their meal. Struck off the food list permanently. Not a good restaurant.
