   First, the address on Open Table was incorrect. Fortunately we saw the restaurant before going to the wrong address. We were lucky to have arrived early and Blake took good care of us at the bar. She recommended excellent choices and made wonderful drinks. The only issue was they do not have enough staff. It did not impact us but it seemed like most of the drinks and serving were done by one person. Overall I recommend it but not if you are in a hurry.

   Beautiful food presentation, everything we tried was delicious and they easily sat a large party of 7 (with same day reservations). The waitstaff were all very friendly and polite, we enjoyed our evening at The Refinery. Prices were a little high as expected on an island but reasonable for the quality of fresh ingredients.

   Unfortunately we had a bad experience at the Refinery for our wedding anniversary dinner. We were looking forward to a great time. While we had a great location and things started off well, our waitress seemed to totally forget about us on multiple occasions. After more than an hour waiting on our food not being offered refills on our drinks, our food arrived cold. The waitress seemed surprised at our reaction so we engaged with management who graciously refunded the food since we were not going to eat it. The place has potential and I recognize good help is hard to find.

   We waited for almost an hour after sitting down to be given even a menu. I’m not really sure how they are staying in business. I realize Christmas and New Year is their busy season, but this was truly a depressing experience…

   I ordered the fresh catch. It was sooo overcooked that I couldn’t eat it. I water for our server to come back by our table and check on our meals, but he never did until my wife finished her meal. He asked if I wanted another one and I said no thanks.

   Fantastic. All the way around. Cant say enough about the experience. Far exceeded expectations. Ask for the coconut wahoo. It’s not on the menu.

   Our experience at The Refinery was unacceptable because: 1- it took 1.5 hours from arrival to get our food. 2- our drink order never came. 3- we were overcharged relative to menu prices on three items by $2-4. 4- they were out of 2/4 entrees listed on the menu. 5- the food was mediocre. We would have done better by picking randomly from the many nearby restaurants.

   I will preface by saying it was holiday season and the restaurant was understaffed. That said, they forgot one of our orders so one of our group of five waited and waited. We did let the server know, but it was 30 minutes of waiting before she told us they didn't have what was ordered. It then took another 20 or so to get her some food. We did have appetizers, but still. Thant said the food we did have was very good. There are a lot of reginal options. The drinks were also excellent with many choices. We were able to try some new things which is always great. We laughed when we were told we were "Comped" the food that was never brought. We were not "comped" anything. I think the order that was so late (and not the original order) should have been removed from the charge in addition to the foods were never got. That is what a "comp" is. All in all it was a bad server night, but that does happen. I would recommend the food and drink and atmosphere.

    On an already small menu, they only had half the items available. Understaffed such that our drinks came 3/4 of the way into our meal and some ordered food items were forgotten about. The food we did eat was delicious.
