Welcome to The Rex Seaside Steakhouse.

A neighborhood steakhouse using seasonal and quality ingredients to bring flavor and hospitality to Redondo Beach. Join us in our dining room every night or our Drift Cocktail Lounge on Friday and Saturdays for a night to remember.

Intentionally sourced with an eye for quality, we offer USDA Prime, Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu, and American Wagyu. All are steaks are cooked to perfection over our white oak fire.

Family-owned and operated, we strive to off a one-of-a-kind luxury experience with all the charm of a neighborhood restaurant.

Service is definitely on the slow side but so with the wait! The Vesper cocktail is a must! Steaks are always great… don’t skip desert!

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect balance of elegance and comfort. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. The steaks were cooked to perfection, with a beautiful sear on the outside and tender, juicy flavor inside. The quality of the meat was evident in every bite. The sides and appetizers were equally impressive—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly complementing the main dishes. Don’t even get me started on the desserts; they were the perfect way to round off an amazing meal. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an excellent meal, The REX is the place to go. Highly recommended—I can’t wait to return!

Kyle was our server and was so attentive to our special request meals. Perfect place to enjoy a dinner with friends. We sat in the upstairs dining room which we loved as it felt as if we were dining privately!

The lights are too bright. I’m used to the Arthur J. The food was incredible but the Arthur J is an overall better experience from an ambiance perspective.

The staff is friendly and well trained. The food was delivered in a relaxed yet timely way. The noise level is a bit loud but all in all it was a wonderful dining experience.
