We had a wonderful meal at the Royal Scam. I had the rib eye steak special after starting with the chicken soup with basil dumplings. The soup was deliciously creamy, perfect on a cold night. My husband had the Land and Sea, filet mignon and crab cakes, both were cooked to perfection. We finished our meal by splitting the bread pudding, our favorite dessert. The Royal Scam’s bread pudding is some of the best around, full of toasted nuts and fruit with a warm bourbon sauce.

The service and food were terrific as always. I got the red fish and for dessert the chocolate toffee crème boule. It was so good!

The tables were VERY close together. An extra foot on either side would have been nice. The staff was excellent. The hostess did point us to our table instead of walking us there. That was odd. But the drinks and food were delicious and delivered with care. Would recommend and will return.

Our food was excellent and service also excellent. My only suggestion would be to add a few different sides and a non-seafood appetizer. The reason people go to a steak restaurant is because they don’t want seafood, otherwise they would go to a seafood restaurant? I may be wrong but I was disappointed in the limited selections in both areas. Otherwise everything was great.
