We are thrilled to announce the long-anticipated reopening of our restaurant! Step into the newly reimagined Landmark Tavern at The Ryland Inn, where the charm of a classic tavern meets the sophistication of modern dining. At the heart of our kitchen is Executive Chef Daniel Brunina, whose passion for local, fresh ingredients shines through in every dish.

While the Tavern menu takes center stage, our culinary creativity extends far beyond. From cult wines and rare spirits to classic cocktails, the details are crafted to create an unforgettable dining experience. Set against a backdrop of unpretentious charm, with equestrian décor that reflects our rich history and playful spirit, The Ryland Inn is more than just a place to eat—it's again a destination for those who seek the joys of exceptional food, great company, and an atmosphere that feels like home.

Welcome back to the Ryland, welcome home.

"In terms of decor, Ralph Lauren would be jealous." -The New York Times. Romantic and luxurious, equestrian yet refined. Built in 1796, The Ryland Inn is a former country home and stagecoach stop. Today, it is a redesigned space that boasts exposed wood beams, elegant chandeliers, and exceptional cuisine. Both spaces are located on opposite sides of the property, ensuring exclusive use of the facility. Nestled on these 10 acres are overnight accommodations as well. The Grand Ballroom- With the feel of a country farmhouse paired with modern flair, the breathtaking 30' windows and matching stone fireplace play perfectly in concert with the glimmer and glow of our chandeliers. Beautiful place, always a great experience. However, the “up-charge” of $15 for a lobster that was the size of a large prawn was outrageous. I don’t even know how its size was considered legal….don’t they have restrictions on a minimum length for a harvestable lobster 🦞? Honestly, I thought it was a joke…….$360, price fix, for 2, one drink each, all in with tip… the rest of the meal was very tasty. But Lord folks poor inflated pricing really smacks you hard.

We were underwhelmed by our New Year’s Eve experience at the Ryland Inn. The food was largely cold as it was likely premade and sat around for 10-15 min before being served to us. The service was quite poor with non-professional servers who would disappear for 10 min in the kitchen (I timed it) despite only covering 4-5 tables. We likely would have had 2 more drinks, but could not chase down our server to place an order and did not want to place an order for a cocktail to pair with dessert as it was taking other guests 15 min to get their cocktails. The food was uninspired with poorly cooked lobster accompanied by burned chanterelles, a lukewarm chestnut soup, and caviar served with overly-thick blinis. All this for $450. This was extremely disappointing as we had our wedding at the Ryland Inn a few years back and we had an amazing experience with excellent food and service. Sadly, not sure we will return.

Usually can’t expect too much since it’s New Years. Food took over 1 hour 1/2 for the 1st course. Part of my entree was cold. Definitely not the same as it used to be. At least we had good company :)

Ryland Inn did a beautiful New Year's Eve. Great ambiance, festive holiday decor, classy and elegant. Drinks were served in crystal. Service was spot on and super friendly and professional. My only negative is that the portions were very tiny. However, I have been there for brunch on Sundays and there's an unlimited buffet that offers an array of great options.

We had a 645 reservation for the Ryland Inn on NYE. It's a lovely venue and it looked very inviting for the holidays. We were greeted and seated promptly. We sat for about 15 minutes with no waiter coming over and no one saying anything and empty water glasses. Finally someone noticed and we were brought water but still did not have a waiter for another 10 minutes. We understand its a busy night but this really was not acceptable especially for the cost. Once we ordered the food was brought out efficiently. Our waitress was just ok, we just expected a little more in such a nice place. The food was very good overall as well as the cocktails.

This new version of Ryland is nothing like the old one. You can skip this. Bad food and even worse service. A total disservice to a great venue and what was once a great restaurant.

I absolutely love the Ryland Inn. The food is amazing and the ambiance is perfect. We came back to celebrate our anniversary since we got married here and every time I come, it’s amazing. Sooo happy the restaurant is back open.

Restaurant is still beautiful, but it is seriously underheated. We requested they turn up the heat and they said they did, but it was still like a refrigerator with a draft (I'm sure the high ceilings don't help but,....). Only the bathrooms were adequately heated. Except for made to order eggs, the Brunch food was room temperature or cold, including the carving station and French toast. Ham, shrimp, salmon were cold, overcooked, and surprisingly tasteless. If you want to serve buffet, you need to figure out how to keep the food warm but not dried out, especially in the winter. Many of the items listed on their website were not available on the buffet. Service was good, but unfortunately I don't see going back to do this again.
