We enjoyed the high tea. It was a very special experience for a very special birthday. It was expensive, but it's ok to spend some money when it's a special occasion, right?

Avoid the High Tea. At best it can be described as “disappointing”but more accurately it would be “rip off”. The assortment of treats was very limited. It was 4 macarons, 2 brownies, a very dry lemon curd pastry cut in half, two stale tea biscuits, a crust less tomato and cream cheese sandwich, same for cucumber, and four baguette appies two with roast beef and two with jam and a mint leaf. Oh as well, carrot sticks and cucumber slices that definitely came from Costco, with sesame dressing as dip (it didn’t vibe and none of my guests enjoyed the flavour) I know that Little Bird Patisserie supplies their baking, and I have been in before and seen it displayed in their cases. The cases were empty when we arrived. I expected lovely desserts and quite an experience for $50 a person. Instead, our drink orders were taken (the iced coffees were good) but no water was offered, and basically no further check ins until I had to ask for a box to pack up the things we didn’t eat. It was far from a “high tea” experience. While we were sitting there a large rolling cart of baked goods arrived - none of what was on those carts was anything like what was presented to us. I had read other similar reviews giving poor ratings but I wanted a nice experience for my mother and sister in law visiting from out of province and figured maybe they were just over critical. This was far from a nice experience. It actually HURT to have to pay $200 for a pitiful amount of very mediocre baked goods. At most this experience should be $19 a person. I have been telling everyone I know to avoid this place. Terrible. Believe the negative reviews and save your money.

I was looking forward to a fun and dress up afternoon tea party with a great friend and sister. I made the reservation for a business casual dining experience. Having never been to this restaurant before, I relied on the description. Upon arriving, it was clear that the dress code was "anything goes" with servers dressed more like a brothel wearing a corset top than a classy venue for afternoon tea. Patrons were in leggings and otherwise "not business casual dress". It was pretty clear that my reservation had not been noted in the system as they sat me on a couch with coffee table. When I asked for better seating, the staff set up table and chairs in a more appropriate setting and located us near the back of the shop where it was quieter and less active than at the front. I appreciated this gesture. The staff also took photos of us when we asked which was also appreciated. Our food came out efficiently and our drink orders were good. We enjoyed our food. We were stuffed when we ate the last morsel. We did not have great service. No one gave us napkins and when we asked for them we were given folded up paper towels - not what we would expect for a business casual afternoon tea booking. We were never offered a refill of hot water for our tea or water or any other drinks throughout the 2. 5 hours we visited. Near the end of our visit, the manager on duty was more attentive than the wait staff had been. The washroom coupled as a storage room with building materials preventing me from standing close to the sink when washing my hands. Getting the itemized receipt when I paid also required assistance from the manager. This was definitely not the afternoon tea experience I wanted to treat my sister and 45 -year friend to. Thankfully, the conversation was great and I was with great company.

I couldn't have been more disappointed. The ambiance wasn't conducive to high tea. The tea was cold, sandwich bread was dry, service was wanting, and watching the uncovered food being ferried from an outside location was disconcerting. This was not an inexpensive outing but for such a dismal experience it was probably the hardest thing to swallow.

Fun "treat yourself" place for High Tea. Nice experience. Every other baked item is delicious too!

Food was good quality, service was great, the only thing is that the food was over priced in my opinion

Worth the money for sure! Thank you for a wonderful birthday High Tea! It took a while for things to come out because they had minimal staff but when it did it was worth it. If there was a way to order drinks ahead that would be wonderful.

Most of the desserts were prepackaged and NOT homemade. Go to Costco for same product. Was hoping for the old Little Bird.

Not the right atmosphere for high tea. Food lacked flavor
