   The food is very good and value for money. 2 barking small dogs tied up outside were not happy at being left. Tad annoying. Barked constantly. It is a dog friendly restaurant which is great and indeed there was well behaved quiet dogs in at this time for lunch.

   We had the fixed cost menu which offered a varied selection of food at a great price. As a party we each had different dishes which all of us agreed were tasty and well prepared. Friendly and engaging staff. Highly recommend

   Great little restaurant tucked away in Muchalls . Chose from the fixed price lunch menu . Any 2 courses for £22 which was excellent value for money . I had green Thai curry which was outstanding but hubby had the fish goujons which were a little soggy with not much taste . We both had a dessert . Sticky toffee pudding and the panna cotta . Both were delicious !! This is our 3rd visit and we’ll definitely be returning again . I would highly recommend visiting this little gem !

   Wide choice of food, including varied fish options. All dishes well prepared, tasty and hot. Good selection of wines. Very helpful and friendly staff. We'll be back!

   Dined mid-week - friendly efficient service, plenty options to choose from and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The set price menu was extremely good value too.

   Can’t believe I’ve never been here before. Food was truly excellent for the price-point. Menu was extensive. Loved that local artwork was displayed for sale throughout the restaurant area. Very relaxed and cozy atmosphere.

   Booked online and was told only bar area available whilst seated two people arrived and asked if there was a table free. They hadn’t booked. They were shown to restaurant and told yes of course. The phone at the bar rang incessantly and remained unanswered. The owner sat on his laptop so close to us we found it hard to have private conversation. The braised brisket and mash was very very salty. The veg looked great but it did not say on menu that these were pickled. Taste not to my taste. The sticky toffee pudding was undercooked. The rum and raisin ice cream tasted great but the raisins were frozen.

    Good ambience - mixture of young, old, families and couples. Good service - 3 staff working the floor meant we were never waiting too long. Good food - 2 ‘teens’ and two adults meant we all tried something different from each other. Four clean plates at the end is always a good sign.
