   very restricted menu as apparently they sold out of lots on saturday, have been going here for years but was very disappointed this occasion especially as it was for a birthday. the starter was expensive for what was on the plate , roast beetroot blue cheese and hazelnuts , one segment of orange chopped into 3 small pieces, enough beetroot, , a few little bits of blue cheese and a few nuts for£12 !! one person using a wheelchair but we had to move the chair ourselves to accommodate it , very disappointed overall

   Nice ambiance and excellent service. However, the food which was the main reason we were there, was disappointing. Our companions shared the pie which they enjoyed but my Wife felt her fish was overcooked and a bit dry whilst my venison was very tough and frankly, inedible.

   Staff were very attentive...The food was excellent...Good quality very well cooked...The beef was cooked to perfection...my only criticism was I would of liked a bit more beef for the price

   Booked online, never been before. Lovely pub with relaxed atmosphere. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food was excellent, lamb’s kidney starter was epic. Steaks were delicious and well cooked. Overall good experience and well worth a visit. Thank you very much.

   Had a faboulous stay in the stag room, bed was a bit hard but we loved it and will be definitely be back

   My wife and I were on our way home, back to london and stopped by the town to find this gem. The staff were all friendly and extremely professional. The food choice and quality was excellent. We will definitely be popping by again on our next travels to the Cotswolds.

    Excellent experience. Food superb. Have eaten and stayed here several times because nothing disappoints, every stay is just as good if not better. It is our favourite place to dine and stay and we need to come more often.
