Went to Station Hotel Aberdeen for high tea. Great selection and chose their macaroni cheese with garlic bread which was delicious. Chose to have a dessert from menu rather than the selection of cakes as the Eton mess looked amazing, didn’t disappoint. Staff were lovely as always and found it was good value for money.

High tea was great, food was freshly cooked and piping hot. Scones and cakes were also delicious. Very good value for money. Felt glasses of wine were overpriced

First time visiting this restaurant and booked it for 7 pm as a Valentine's dinner with my partner. The dining room was nice. Simple layout but with plenty of space between tables. We arrived bang on 7 pm and had a short wait to be seated. We were seated by a gentleman, given a food menu, but no drinks/ wine menu, and told that he'd be back shortly to take our order. We were left waiting for quite some time before one of the two girls who were waiting tables came over and asked if we were ready to order. We asked for the wine list, which was provided, and then asked if we would like a couple of extra minutes to decide on drinks, which we accepted. In hindsight, we should've placed our food order at that point, and then asked her to return for drinks, as again, we were kept waiting for some time. Eventually, we were able to order our drinks, starters, and mains. Water for the table was served fairly quickly, and our wine was not too long after. However, it took quite a while for our starters to come out. The food was tasty, though the serving size of the starters was quite small for the price. Again, in hindsight, we should've asked for our mains to be started when our starters had arrived. We had the cinema booked for 9pm that evening, thinking that 2 hours would be ample time to eat. But the delays in serving time were making things look like we'd be running late. It again was quite some time before our mains arrived. I had to go up to the waiting staff to ask them for an update on our food. But only a few minutes after I asked them to check, did our mains come out. The food was again good. My only complaint was that the breading on my chicken Schnitzel was unseasoned. No salt was applied after frying either. But there was salt on the table. However, by the time mains arrived it was 8.45 pm, meaning we had to rush to eat our mains. Which was unfortunate. I'd return again, but if service is as slow in the future, then I'd avoid a 3rd visit.

On a special valentine’ night. We booked for 7pm and ordered our food and drinks. Our drinks arrived quickly but after waiting til 8.45 and our food still hadn’t arrived we got up and left. There were many others in the restaurant who hadn’t received their food either and it was extremely disappointing on what should have been a special night. The waitress didn’t seem to know what she was doing and was walking around with an order which she didn’t know which table it was for. The time we waited was actually ridiculous and would definitely not recommend this place and will not be returning. We managed to get food in another restaurant which arrived in 10 minutes.

We have been here a couple of times now for a high tea when we visit Aberdeen and I have to say, it really is lovely. The food is fantastic and the cakes are wonderful. The only downside was we were not asked about food allergies and we didn’t get offered tea or coffee until the cakes were out which I find unusual but overall, it was great!
