The Sur House, at Ventana Big Sur, serves cuisine in an awe-inspiring setting. The restaurant’s warm, rustic interior opens onto its legendary terrace where panoramic views of the ocean and rugged Big Sur coastline stretch for more than 50 miles. The cuisine makes use of the abundance of California’s Central Coast with local, simple, sustainable ingredients, including items from Ventana’s own organic garden.

Non-Resort Guests will enjoy a pre-fixed, 3-course menu for $110/per person. A la carte menu not available at this location for dinner service.
A 22% Service charge will be added to all checks.

    Our server Jessica was very pleasant and we enjoyed talking with her. Rodrigo was also very pleasant. We are locals and it was our first visit. It was my husband’s birthday and the complimentary dessert was very much appreciated. We will be back again for sure! Thank you, Kristin Oleksy

    As Hyatt highlands inn vacati9n owner and seasoned foodies, we were very disappointed with the quality and cost of the food. For a resort that charges $1500 per night, the food should be at a much higher level. We ordered guacamole and chips. The chips were cold and tasted like stale costco chips. the guacamole seemed home made. My wife and I shared a caeser salad. the dressing tasted like bottled dressing, like hidden valley ranch. not fresh made as we were expecting. The main course was a cheeseburger. Honestly, McDonalds has a better burger. It's takes 1 hour to get to this restaurant from Carmel. while the road trip was scenic, it's definitely not worth the drive. We were hoping we could find a hidden gem but take it from. it's not worth the trip.

    I cannot say enough good things about The Sur House! You will not find a more gorgeous view, amazing food, and the most wonderful staff! We say the same thing every time we visit, and it’s what keeps us coming back! It’s the most special place in Big Sur!

    The food was amazing. The market fish was delicious alongside a roasted vegetable salad. The scenery of Big Sur was a gorgeous coastal beauty. And the waitstaff was superb.
