    Our first visit and we really enjoyed it , Staff were all very friendly, dog friendly , food was great , and cosy place , will definitely go again

    Brilliant food, excellent service and Cara and Jordan were superb hosts. Recommended wine choice which was exceptional. Will definitely go back to this place again. Cara did a fantastic job advertising the travellers rest on Facebook which is why we booked.

    New management have made this into one of the best restaurants in the area. Beautifully decorated, excellent service and very good food.

    Overall a good experience with lovely food that was good overall. One niggle was the sautéed potatoes were only lukewarm. Steak and ale pie was very tasty as was the vegetarian wellington. Attentive service

    Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome, food reasonably priced and the availability of a drink of tea or coffee and mini dessert most welcome as I couldn’t manage a full dessert. Will certainly go there again.
