Welcome to casual waterfront dining at its best. Yes, we have a stunning waterfront location overlooking the Currituck Sound, but our goal is to be a great restaurant that just happens to have a great view. Have been here a number of times in the past and enjoyed the food, staff and atmosphere. Most recently visit proved to be disappointing. Food was of poor quality. The fries were apparently the bottom of the package, not one over one inch long, just pieces. Burger was overcooked, salad was awful. As for the drinks, my gin and tonic was served with flat tonic water.

Our reserved table was ready upon arrival. Server was pleasant and helpful. 1/9 orders was not correct. It took 2 attempts to correct. But food was good.

As usual, the food was very good. But, it’s on dinners like this that you realize how meaningful your server is to the overall impression of the meal. Our server - I won’t mention names, but let’s just say it’s the first time in many, many years that I’ve left a tip of less than 15% - was, at best, inattentive; at worst incompetent. I had to hunt down the server for another glass of wine, as well as the check. I will definitely go back again, but I’ll definitely insist I sit in someone else’s area.

Because of the summer and heavy traffic, we don't get to the Village until the Fall or Winter. Dinner was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Tuna dinner special and I had the NC Shrimp. Both were cooked to perfection.

First impressions last - second time in and once again the hostess is so unfriendly and so unaccommodating - you’re already annoyed before you even sit down. And we witnessed this with not only us but other customers as well. Doesn’t make for a pleasant dining experience. Only place around open on Monday - only reason we went back.
