If you are looking for a quintessential English country pub then look no further. The White Horse is nestled opposite the beatuiful church in Bradford on Tone, with a lovely river walk along the Tone just round the corner. Inside you'll find a cosy bar, complete with log burner, and a spacious restaurant. Our stunning garden is the perfect spot for al fresco dining in the summer months, and our wonderful old skittle alley (complete with it's own bar) is hireable for all kinds of events.

Our menu keeps it simple and offers all the traditional pub favourites, whilst our daily changing specials board focuses on creative dishes using the best of seasonal produce. On the bar you'll find a full range of lagers and local cider, with a fab wine list from local vinter Paddy Magill, as well as our very own cask ale from Black Bear Brewery. We open at 9am and serve a hearty breakfast menu until 11am daily.

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch. I had the pork which was beautifully cooked but there was not enough of it which is a shame as it’s not an expensive meat compared to lamb and beef. My guests both had nut roast and it was good and plentiful. Service was a bit hit and miss but it was a busy Sunday lunchtime. Overall I Would recommend it.

An impromptu visit to this lovely pub for a cheeky roast- didn’t disappoint- portion size was great and piping hot fresh food. Will defo be bank. Thank you

We live in a neighbouring village to Bradford on Tone and after our usual place for Sunday lunch was fully booked and as was our second choice, we decided to try the white horse, upon arrival our table wasn’t ready we had to wait with a pushchair as people pushed passed us in the doorway, we was seated and a drinks order was taken, upon bringing our drinks we told the waitress that we are ready to order, both myself and my husband going for our all time favourite roast beef, what an absolute disappointment roast potato undercooked and cold, sprouts only had a drip in the water and was rock hard causing me to spit it back out , gravy was like dirty dishwater at this point I decided not to continue to eat mine , my husband attempted to continue but stop half way, upon paying our bill they came to an agreement with my husband to charge for his and £2 for mine for a small bit of potato and a spat out sprout, i honestly walked out of there feeling conned I was extremely hungry and still had to purchase food, please do not waste your time or money there are many other beautiful local pubs in the surrounding villages that do exceptional roast lunch.

Food was nearly cold, beef was uncooked. We use the Whitehorse on a regular basis but today wasn’t good. I like rare beef but today it was un cooked. A member of our party had a small roast and the piece of meat was minuscule . Disappointed.

We were a group of 8 and had a fantastic lunch in a lovely cosy pub. The staff were friendly and didn't mind us staying quite a while! Top venue 👍

Pork today in the pie special was chewy not tender at all and meal was not hot. One of our table did not receive their food at the same time. All in all very disappointing. The waitress was lovely but sadly the meal wasn’t.
