Launched in Hong Kong in 2009, Tim Ho Wan now operates throughout the region, and has expanded into 9 different countries, now including New York City and Hawaii in the USA, and Tokyo, Japan. Co-founding dim sum masters, Mak Kwai Pui and Leung Fai Keung, who met as head chefs in Hong Kong, left their respective positions to open the first Tim Ho Wan location in Hong Kong’s Mong Kok district, earning one Michelin star within a year of operation and receiving the title of “world’s most inexpensive awarded restaurant”.

Overall, everything we expected was comfortable and delicious. Bad thing was we received an order that we didn’t order, similar on the menu and it didn’t faze the waitress who submitted the order. We attempted to notify the waitress and other servers but to busy with other things. Instead of letting it get cold, we ate and left.

Takes ordinary Dim Sum to a different level. Those Pork buns are just so delicious! I can see why they are Michelin Star quality.

This is Michelin one star restaurant chain in Hong Kong. The food is delicious as expected and focus on few popular Hong Kong style dim sum foods and deserts. The restaurant is spacious and modern design. It is not crowded when we were there around 5:15pm Monday afternoon. There are good numbers of servers but they forgot to give me tea I ordered and missing the chicken feet dish I ordered. I’ve to call the worker and waiter three time and waited 20 minutes for the missing dish. However they still forgot to give me my tea. I’m really disappointed in their service.

Our friends who live in Palms Place decided to join us. The staff was very accommodating and did not rush us. We appreciate all the great food and hospitality. We will come back! (we stayed in Palms Casino)

Great location, food, and service. I had Tim Ho Wan for the first time when I was in NY, and I was very happy once I found out there was one in Vegas now.
