Chef Kazuyo was a truly phenomenal teacher! It was so amazing to learn from her expertise and be so hands on with making different types of sushi rolls. Very clear and intimate as we were a small group, so it made learning easy. Being able to eat what we made after, with some sparkling sake, really topped off the experience perfectly. Would definitely recommend!

With high expectations of a quality afternoon tea experience with Japanese fusion, especially the niche of having matcha scones, I thought the food quality can be better. The scones are not up to scone standard because one of the matcha scones were not fully cooked through because the middle of is very dense. However, the Japanese delicacies and pistachio green tea cake and yuzu delicacies were superb. In addition, there were loud noise coming out from the kitchen during our visit and this could also be improved as well to better the ambiance

Absolutely amazing sushi masterclass experience! Jhun was a brilliant host, very funny and patient. We received this sushi masterclass as a Christmas present, so we traveled to London solely for this experience and it did not disappoint! The amount of sushi we ate was unbelievable and we were also given a complimentary bottle of sake. I would highly recommend this experience!!

We did the Sushi making masterclass on a Saturday afternoon, which was amazing! Our itamae - Masa was brilliant, very clear and informative. So much fun making sushi and maki rolls. Then delicious eating our creations at the end presented with a glass of sparkling Saki. Highly recommended! Birthday treat for my husband. 5 stars great value for money!

Service was just plain awful. Waiting time was long. Not offered any drinks we had to ask for a glass of water which wasn’t topped up. We finished our tea, nothing offered after . And it wasn’t like super busy and there was plenty of staff. It’s a shame, it’s a real opportunity for them to upsell and make you want to come back. It’s just a shame we left not wanting to come back. Best member of staff was the guy in charge of reception.

I rarely write reviews. Authentic Japanese restaurant in a Japanese hotel. Sushi chef very professional and made fantastic nigiri. Otherwise, service is miserable. But I think there’s a lot of that in London.

Disappointing Service What a let down, we returned to this restaurant as we really enjoyed it two years ago. Sadly it was not at all the experience we had at the first visit. The food arrived as expected for traditional Japanese dining, but we were frustrated by a sushi chef idling while we waited 45 minutes for our last sushi roll. We almost canceled the last roll and left. No staff checked in to see if we needed drinks or wanted to order more. The food was good but not superior, and the long wait while chefs stood watching diners was unacceptable.

Excellence meal cooked by Jhun, we sat on the stools overlooking him preparing the different meals. Jhun explained each meal to us and about the different courses and was verry friendly and helpful. We had the Omakase experience which was very good value. We visited Japan in October 2024 and this reminded us of the good time we had.
