Welcome to Toloache (pronounced toh-lo-AH-tchay), chef-owner Julian Medina’s contemporary Mexican bistro located in the heart of the Theater District. Toloache is named after a flowering plant famed in Mexico for its use in love potions. We hope that when you dine with us you too will fall under the spell of chef Medina’s creative cooking, which incorporates seasonal and natural ingredients and more than a dozen types of chilies. Our festive, two-story space features a guacamole and ceviche bar, a wood-burning oven, and an exceptional tequila list, along with elegant decorative elements imported from Mexico.     My wife and I love their Frozen Margaritas  We shared the Miso Cod which is wonderful. Recommend adding their Black Beans and Rice to complement and make for an amazing meal. We both had their Soup and Glac and Homemade Chips. Always a great meal. Funky Fred

    The wait staff was attentive and remembered to bring out a round of drinks when all guests arrived after appetizers. The service was quick to allow getting to a 8 o’clock curtain quickly and is less than a block away from circle in the round. The food was excellent and I would recommend the enchiladas or fajitas for anyone interested.

    We had an excellent dining experience here on Saturday. We entered after the ‘Wicked’ show was set to start next door & as a result the dining area had emptied out. The place was very clean and neat and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Food and drinks were authentic and delicious. Would most definitely return.
