My wife eats very simple so she got the trifungo with grilled chicken which she liked, I got the chicharrón de pollo with rice and beans. Those beans were cooked to perfection and the fried chicken was delicious. The place is very clean the ambiance is great. I’d turn the music down just one notch. They also have tvs in the main area which is awesome and I saw two in the back area too. There is a mix of high tops, bar seating, and regular tables. Service was great. The parking is the only bad thing about this area. You have to park at the alewife train station and walk over due to there being no parking! Or uber! Or talk the train to alewife and walk over! Great place to enjoy the food

Their food is ok but bland. Could spice it up a bit considering their focus is Latin American food. Compared to other Latin American restaurants their food taste seemed blander — although they have a good variety of stuff on their menu.

Food is as pre-cooked and not great. Place is empty and should have been the signal to leave and the music is loud and so was a bit overwhelming when you first walk into the restaurant.

Are you looking for good vibes, good food, and great service? Then Top Mix should be on your list of favorite spots to go whether it's for date night, a family celebration or fun bites with friends. The service is impeccable! The wait staff is incredibly attentive. After reading reviews about the service, we couldn't wait to find out for ourselves, and Andy, our waiter did not disappoint. He knew the menu like the back of his hand. He was very knowledgable about the food and drink ingredients and made fantastic suggestions. I wish we took pictures of what we ate and drank, but it was all so good, and we were having too much fun to be on our phones. Next time for sure! The spicy Margarita had a great kick, but the drink champ of the night was the Top Mix Ginger Honeycomb. Some of us got two! The Caribbean BBQ Smash Burger and the Grilled Salmon over cauliflower puree were delicious dishes. The grilled chicken added to the Tropical Rice Bowl lacked flavor, but that didn't take away from the other flavors in the bowl. Overall, our first experience at Top Mix was stand out!

I consider Top Mix a hidden gem! We had 3 different lunch specials…all were delicious! The restaurant was warm , bright and welcoming! Will be returning again soon!

I'm afraid the food was mediocre at best. We had the calamari appetizer, fried pork chop platter, and churrasco platter. the meats were terribly chewy.

I had a reservation at 11pm and I was not even spoken to by my waiter until 11:40 and still it was not my waiter I pulled someone else’s waiter who took my order so I didn’t have to wait any longer! Extremely unacceptable and then waited an additional 30 minutes for drinks and food
